4. C. Carter
5. Randle
Hard not to put Winfield on the list because he's my favorite current Viking, but ... I had to do it.
As you can see, I like D-Line play.

I know what you mean. I like saying "Wasswa Serwanga".

"Fuad" is another good one.Mothman wrote:

But my favorite NFL name of all-time is still Boobie Clark. Played for Cincy in the 70s. Still remember my Mom yelling, "Goooo Boobie!" whenever he reeled off a big run.Mothman wrote:

That's a good one. My all-time favorite football name is Bronco Nagurski... because it's about as cool as a football player's name could be.BGM wrote:But my favorite NFL name of all-time is still Boobie Clark. The Packers have the player with my current favorite NFL name: Frank Zombo. However, I prefer to think of him as just "Zombo". If he was a Viking, I'd get his jersey just for the name!

Re: Name Your 5 Favorite Vikings of All Time
I'm 22 years old, and didn't seriously start watching the vikings until about 2002 or 2003.
1. Adrian Peterson - probably the best player I've ever seen
2. Daunte Culpepper
3. Randy Moss
4. Cris Carter (and it's a crying shame he's not in the HOF yet)
5. The Williams Wall (they count as one, right?)

You are correct. That was a typo on my part. Fran only lead us to 3.Valhalla wrote: Joe Kapp led the Vikings to their first Superbowl, I believe that leaves 3 that Tarkenton was QB for the Vikings in.

With Pat as part of the "Wall" they should probably count as three.beardedterror wrote:5. The Williams Wall (they count as one, right?)

I didn't start following football until 02, my 5 would probably be:
1. Randy Moss
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Daunte Culpepper
4. Percy Harvin
5. Jim Kleinsasser

Re: Name Your 5 Favorite Vikings of All Time
Been watching Viking games since 1972.
1. Francis Asbury Tarkenton (3 Super Bowls in 1/74, 1/75, 1-77.
2. Alan Page
3. Chuck Foreman
4. Randy Moss
5. Adrian Peterson
Many more to mention but you said hold it to five.

Re: Name Your 5 Favorite Vikings of All Time
Joey Browner (better than Lott, just ask John Madden. Also the man who made me a Vikings fan)
Adrian Peterson
Randy Moss (electric, entertaining and instantly made our team great for years. We just lacked a great QB to create a dynasty with Moss)
Cris Carter (secure hands, reliable and your first down blanket. The Anquan Boldin of his time.)
Randall McDaniel (oh how we could use him today.)
A shout out to Chris Doleman, John Randle, Carl Lee, Wade Wilson, Matt Birk, Jake Reed, Percy Harvin

favre is not on anyone's list? the 2009 season was the most exciting year since 98, and those are the two best viking teams i've seen in my lifetime.
