Oh, Tennessee Tuxedo, Underdog, Klondike Cat-- I used to watch them all.

And before there was CSI, or Crossing Jordan, or Ducky...., there was:

Gentlemen, you're about to enter the most fascinating sphere of police work,
the world of forensic medicine.

Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage,
This I tell ya brother, you can't have one without the other.

Married With Children

The disfunctional family becomes comedy. It sure wasn't I Love Lucy.

This one has popular theme music, but the lyrics to the show's theme were not aired. Here are most of the lyrics:

Heroes, heroes, husky men of war. Sons of all the heroes, of the war before.
We’re all heroes up to our ear o’s. You ask questions - we make suggestions
That’s what we’re heroes for.

All good heroes love a good, big fight. Open up the bomb bays and brighten up the night.
We applaud the people who laud us, you pull the roses, we punch the noses,
That’s what we’re heroes for.

Never flinch, boys, never be afraid, heroes are not born, boys, heroes are made.
Ask not why, boys, never say die, boys
Answer the call, remember we’ll all be heroes forever more.

Hogan's Heroes

Didn't know this one for sure but I guessed it might be Hogan's Heroes from the lyrics and figured the words fit the theme song well enough that it has to be that.

OK, more recently-- early Ninties, shouldn't be a stumper

Now this is the story all about how my life got fliped turned upside down
and I'd like to take a minute-- just sit right there and I'll tell you how I became __________

In West Philadephia born and raised...
On a playground is where I spent most of my days
Chillin out maxin relaxin all cool and out shooting some B-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my Mom got scared and said "You're moving with your Aunti and Uncle in _____

It's a Bird, it's a Plane!, It's a Frog!
Not bird nor plane, nor even frog, it's just little old me

Underdog!

This one isn't so much a theme song in the classical sense, but there's no mistaking the song and the show. My folks watched this every week.

I'm so glad we had this time together
Just to have a laugh or sing a song
Seems we just get started and before you know it
Comes the time we have to say So Long

Still looking for my audio daily double

The Carol Burnett Show!

The last of the really great variety shows. What a great show. And a great cast. They just don't do television like this anymore. It's really a shame that the networks are only interested in carbon copies of other network's hit shows and reality shows. And they wonder why no one hardly watches them anymore.
