You're right!!! He had to go a ways too. That was a sweet drive!

I was at the game, got to go on the field for warm-ups and met Patterson/Blair Walsh/Norv Turner and some pictures with them and the cheerleaders. I might post some pictures later if anyone is interested, although I look horrendous.

Anyway It is no surprise to me that teddy and Charlie Johnson have been connecting. They were out there 45min before anyone else throwing the ball around, there is clearly a very strong chemistry there.

Good game overall, Teddys stat line doesn't do him justice, he was just outstanding today. He did everything you could ask for, I don't recall him missing any open receivers. He dealt with the immense pressure the jets were putting on him about as well as you could hope. You take away that hail marry interception and give him that fumble TD, and you are talking about a near perfect game. Also that drive to get us into field goal range before the end of regulation was superb, as good as any of the elite QBs in the league could have done.

So was I.

This isn't against mmvikes, just an observation in general. How come when the coach is all critical and only focuses on his team's mistakes after a win, it's ok, if not admirable? Based on his presser you wouldn't even know we had won an exciting game today. But when fans are critical of all the same stuff, they're just negative Nancy's who should have their posting privileges revoked lol?

because coaches and players are much different than fans? :?

it's the same reason that it's perfectly normal for fans to high-five and scream after touchdowns but players get fined. fans love to come on message boards and call out #### playing, coaching, etc....but you won't hear players doing this about other players and coaches.

as a whole i think this is what's wrong with sports. fans become so enthralled with the team they root for they actually start feeling like they are part of the team. they feel it's their right to bash players, insult coaches, tell players when to retire, complain about salaries etc. in reality we are just people who enjoy watching people do their jobs because their jobs are pretty dang entertaining.

mmvikes wrote:My apologies then Jim. I have just recently been frustrated with people selling Teddy short and threw that out there as Pepp has been one that has been compared favorably to Teddy. I was really exited also. I changed locations and later barstools in an attempt to help the team turn things around in the game.
Whatever works, eh? ;)

I appreciate the apology but it's not necessary. You didn't wrong me in any way.

I'm glad you were excited though. That wasn't a great performance by the Vikes but it was a gutsy performance. The Jets played a very physical game and I thought the Vikes matched that physicality when they needed to and played hard. I really enjoy watching that kind of win.

I'd love to see the pictures. What a cool experience! I'd love to go on the field with the cheerleaders 9oh, and it would be cool to meet Norv, Patterson and Walsh too). :)

That's cool. Thanks for that info! One of the nicer aspects of going to games is the opportunity to see that sort of thing.

I've been thinking about it and I feel that was his most impressive performance thus far this season. He really played well, kept his cool under pressure and threw the ball accurately. I'm seeing clear progress at this point and I'm eager to see how he handles himself on the road against Detroit next week.
