Watched the Floyd highlights on both ESPN and NFL Network. Holy cow! That guy is freaking amazing. I realize they are just showing highlights, but he just looked dominant in every play shown. So many other highlights are guys out of position... and then the play comes back to them on a reverse, etc. But Floyd looks to be just incredible from the highlight film.

I was a little concerned with the fall and the commentary that he was a media creation. But the media I saw was really, really good.

Cook has been working out okay (when he's healthy). A tall and physical corner like Rhodes is a good fit in any defense.

Sounds like he's a 1st round physical talent that will need some coaching. What college players don't need coaching though. I think this gives us the opportunity to push Robinson inside and play Jefferson in the nickel.

I would love to see us trade back into the first (3 first round picks?!) and take whoever we deem the best receiver left (Hunter or Allen in my opinion). I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see it.

I don't know what the concerns are. From what I've seen Rhodes locates the ball, plus he's big enough and physical enough to support against the run. He's not a blazer, but he's got a solid mix of physical attributes that I think merits where he was chosen.

The problem with Cook is that he's better when he can get his hands on the receiver and the Vikings just don't scheme to take advantage of that. But both are tall, physical guys. If there's a way to tweak the system to play to their strengths more, it could pay dividends. If not, I fear it's going to be a STEEP learning curve and has the potential to be a difficult transition, leading to a liability in coverage that we cannot afford.

Two big corners with speedy Robinson in the slot. If you told me at the beginning of the day the Vikings would walk away with Floyd and Rhodes without trading up, I never would have believed it. Good job by Spielman staying put and grabbing nice value. I think a trade up in the 2nd might be worth looking into, there's going to be a WR run soon and we have that extra 4th as ammo.
