He needed to throw it higher. Rudolph was open. That's a throw that I think he had the ability to make. There was plenty ON it, strength-wise, but it wasn't high/deep enough to where Kyle could've been the only one with a chance to catch it.

Yeah, he'll learn from that one, instead of just assuming the safety bites and throwing it at chest level put it at just above head level and it's an easy TD regardless of what the safety does.

Great job by our secondary in shutting down Julio Jones, one of the most dynamic receivers in the league.

The Vikings ran the ball on 25 of 30 first downs, and the predictability doesn’t matter when the Falcons couldn’t consistently stop Adrian Peterson (45 of 70 snaps). Entering Sunday, the Falcons had the league’s top-ranked run defense, which did not deter offensive coordinator Norv Turner as Peterson pounded away against loaded fronts (8+ defenders) on 25 of his 29 runs.

I loved seeing that renewed commitment to the run after what happened a week earlier against Green Bay, although I don't think it's necessary to be quite that predictable.

Pass protection is still a major issue, despite the Vikings not allowing a sack. The Falcons’ lackluster rush was still able to kill the Vikings’ quick-passing plays designed to get the ball out of Bridgewater’s hand and the young quarterback into a rhythm. “It’s something that’s irritating me,” Zimmer said postgame. “I’m going to figure out some way to get it fixed, one way or another.”

Agreed. I'm a little disheartened that they haven't done more play-action, to be honest. Of course, those plays take longer to develop and require the offensive line to pass-protect adequately for a bit longer so...

I think there is a balancing act between predictability and beating yourself. You cant move away from whats working. If, say for instance. AP, Asiata, and Mc had netted 8+ yards on EVERY carry all game. You should never stop handing it off. Ever. Yeah the end result would be 100% running plays but if its working dont stop. I think a lot of the time teams suffer because they over think whats working and try to set up for later game situations that never happen. I am pretty Happy with Norv and Zimmers ability to lately go with what works and not shoot themselves in the foot.

I agree. Why turn away from the run, when the Oline can run block and AD is the best RB in the NFL. We could try forcing the pass, but teddy wouldnt make it through the game, and I for one, dont want to see Hill ever playing QB for us again. Theres people that just want to harp on all the things Teddy can do, they need to remember he is very young yet, and ISNT asked to make the throws all the time now. He misses wide open receivers just like Brady Rogers and Bres do. And he lack touch on some throws. Good new is he can zip that ball right in between 2 DBs with pinpoint accuracy sometimes. Hes not like Josh Freeman thinking he is throwing to Paul Bunyan every throw.
