Did you ever hear of depth. We have three guys at the top and they will miss time this year. Lookup the history. If the inevitable is no Super Bowl that's not a hard call. It's Brady's deal until he falls apart. He didn't come back for a victory lap.

It would seem likely the Panthers would exercise Darnold’s fifth-year option, but they have until May 3 to make the decision, with the QB projected to make $18.858 million, per Over the Cap. Darnold is in the final year of his rookie deal, with $4.8 million due, and will account for $5 million against New York’s 2021 cap.
I guess that means 18M this year. See they all struggle with the CAP. How is he above league min. He's terrible. Cousins is a bargain.

They would’ve been on a rotation so I wouldn’t even call him a backup. I actually really liked the way he played by seasons end. And he was an excellent tackler. Major bummer to hear this

Well, we have Hughes on his last year and looking like a bust. An aging Peterson on an expensive 1-year deal. And Alexander on a vet minimum 1-year. Outside of Dantzler, we have a ton of uncertainty at corner after this year. Even if Gladney wasn’t going to start at slot, which is debatable, it’s clear they wanted some vet experience to help teach their two high round rookies. This is a major blow. We lost 3-4 years of production.

Maybe they can work on an extension for Mack ASAP

I prefer to think he had little potential to begin with so losing him doesn't matter.

I am trying this new way of following the Vikings where I just believe whatever is convenient.
