Still a fighting chance but, looking back on a few things Vikings had to deal with this season such as,
Sparano passed away at the beginning of the season
Lost Shurmur to the Giants
Got rid of all 3 Qbs that is familiar with the system
Hexed with injuries as usual.

It makes sense on why they dont look as dominant as last years Vikings.

Also, I really feel like Cousins doesn't trust the Oline. He looked real jittery in the pocket when he actually had time.

We don't deserve to but I think we will. Look at who is behind us:

Carolina (-.5) - Dumpster fire
Washington (-.5) - They're toast without Alex Smith
Philadelphia (-.5) - Carson Wentz probably not playing on Sunday
Green Bay (-1) - They may snag the wildcard from us but unlikely to happen. This is the team I'm worried about the most in the wild card honestly.

Spot on.

Carolina plays the Saints twice...they probably go 1-2.
Washington...without Smith 1-2.
Philly...Wentz = broken vertebrae...1-2.
If GB wins out and we win 2 out of 3, I believe we win the tiebreaker over them, correct?

Our offense has 3 games to get SOMETHING figured out.

Vikings just need to win out. None of these hypotheticals really mean anything.Saints haven't been playing all that well lately and the Panthers can beat them. Washington is starting a different quarterback who looked pretty good when he came in last week. Most of all, some of these opponents teams play in week 17 may involve starters getting the day off because of having already clinched a spot. There's just too much that can happen right now. Safest way in is if the Vikings win out or at least win the next 2 and we'll see where things sit come week 17.

I don't see a lot of reason to think the Vikings will beat the Dolphins. The Dolphins have a winning record. The Vikings don't beat teams with winning records.

I think we finish out 7-8-1 tied with the Packers. I think there's a decent change Washington beats the Eagles and edges the Vikings out of the playoffs.

Man you know the season is getting depressing when we don't think we can beat the 7-6 Dolphins at home.

Dolphins beat the Pats and Bears which no matter what those are good wins. They also beat the Titans but no other team with a winning record. The combined record of the teams they've beat is 40-51. Not very good but obviously far better than the 26-51-1 record of the teams we've beat! Yuck.

But they've lost to way worse teams than we have too. The combined record of the teams they lost to is 40-37; just over .500. Combined record of teams the vikes lost to? 52-26. We've played some great teams this season.

I guess this is a long-winded way of saying if we lose to the Dolphins at home Sunday this team is WAY worse than I believe they are today...

At least the Dolphins have won only one road game this year, so there's that.......I'm honestly more excited this week than I have been for the previous couple because I was assuming losses, although I wasn't assuming they would look as pathetic on offense as they did. Mainly I'm excited/hoping for an offensive turnaround with DFP being fired and hope to see some progress in that regard. But being a Vikings fan, I also expect for any hopes to be dashed.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, just quoting one portion of a thread gives me trouble. Don't post here enough apparently.

The Dolphins don't remotely pose a threat. This game will be over in the first half.

Yep, they won that game. They still are no threat for any super bowl.
