Are you serious? Fishing has got to be the most boring thing people do for "fun". I get it if you have to do it to survive, but doing it for "fun"? Come on man, that ranks right down there with watching golf on the old fun meter.

Same here but I'm apprehensive too. Maybe we've just been burned by the Vikes too many times.

I guess I'm a true believer; kinda person full of faith, the Vikings will reward my years of service, with a ring...

You are right. Here in Colorado, hiking up to a high mountain lake with my fly rod and catching trout can't be anymore boring

I wish I had your faith, my friend. At this point, my faith in the team is shaken. Back in the '70s, when they kept reaching the Super Bowl, I felt it was just a matter of time before they won one and I felt that way through the '80s, through the '90s (I really believed it would happen in '98) and into the beginning of this century but now, I'm genuinely apprehensive. Maybe it's because I live a few miles from the home ballpark of a pro baseball team that hasn't won a World Series in over 100 years but I no longer feel it's just a matter of time. I desperately want to see this franchise get their act together and put together a Super Bowl winner but honestly, it feels further away than ever. The Vikings have only had back-to-back winning seasons once in this century and they've won just two playoff games in the past 13 years.

I haven't lost hope but some sustained success would go a long way toward restoring my faith.

What!!?? This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on the VMB and that is saying a lot

Fishing is GREAT!!! They should have put the new stadium right on a lake so you could fish while attending a Vikings game. Throw in some good beer and it would be sensory overload, like George Costanza bringing a hoagie and a portable tv into the bedroom with his girlfriend

See what you did there? The only way to make fishing somewhat appealing is to throw in a Vikings game. Hey who said watching paint dry can be boring? Just do it while you're watching a Vikings game. Easy peasy. Can't say that about fishing. Watching paint dry while you're fishing is pretty much just watching paint dry xD.

And I remember that episode of Seinfeld. I believe Costanza pushed it too far with the sandwich or the portable TV, I can't remember which, but eventually something crossed the line with her in the bedroom lol.

Speaking of Minnesota and fishing....
I went to a big family reunion this past weekend and met the son of one of my cousin's for the first time. He lives in Minnesota and is only 10, but was telling me about how much he fishes there. He is half Indian and said that the fishing limits don't apply because of that. Is that true? He had mentioned catching over 50 fish in a day and selling them.
