MOTHMAN. I made my list on only one cup of coffee. Kapp should be in there before Culpepper. Maybe if Favre got past the Saints and won a super bowl, we may have viewed him differently. His efforts during the 2009 season were amazing.
1. Tarkenton
2. Kapp
3. Kramer
4. Culpepper
3 1/2. Culpepper is the 1/2. If Kramer had the teams of the mid-'70's instead of the early '80's, he would have accomplished much more.
I have to go by pure emotion on this list. And that is driven by what i've seen in my lifetime.
Who made me the happiest to see throw the ball in a purple uniform.
1 Brett Favre
2 Randle Cunningham

After the 1998 loss, I took a semi break from the Vikings. I watched, but i didn't really care. If it's possible to have a stress disorder from a football team, I had one for several years. I don't remember most of the Culpepper years. I watched most of the games but i don't remember them. I remember laughing when we got spanked by the giants in the NFC championship game. I remember watching Randy Moss give a halfassed effort. Played when he felt like it. And I remember being happy when he left the Vikings. It wasn't until AP was signed that i really found my love for this team again. I was a fan always, but i was a snakebitten fan. Then Favre came to town. That got me back to the same ferver I had in 1998. And just like 1998.............. I was left a hollow shell of a vikings fan. I've stayed in it though. Watched 99% of the games since 09. And I tell you what. If I had the balls to add one more player to that list it would be Ponder. He sucks so bad sometimes, but ya gotta love his attitude. And when he has games like last night, you can't help but cheer and hope he has found his groove that could still be lurking in there full time. All American kid. A 'good guy'. In fear of dodging stones, I'll leave him off for now.
