It may be a tall order to win in Wisconsin. The Packers (damn them) are one of the best teams in the league. On the other hand, the Green Bay game in Minnesota is the last game of the season... If they win the NFC conference with home field in 15 games, it may be a blow off game and a much easier game for the Vikes to notch in the win column.

The conference is weak, if we sweep the bears and win the games on our schedule we are supposed to win, we will make the playoffs even going 0-2 to green bay.

The reality is we are 1-2 more solid draft(s) away from being a meaningful playoff team. Once we fix the o-line and add a bit more to the defense this team will be fanfukintastic.

Please. If Rodgers got brutalized the way we brutalized Stafford in the two games we played we would get hit with a flurry of Hurting The Posterchild and Jeopardizing Billions flags.

"15 yard penalty on the trivia question, small market defensive player, for Roughing the Rodgers."

It is just part of the game now. Like the BS penalty Captain Munmerlyn got on Drew Brees.

I think there's some truth to that, but I'd suggest doing it anyway. A) he's going to tear up your defense anyway, so who cares about 15 more yards. B) He might not finish the game, giving you a chance to win. C) He might not be available for the next game if roughed up sufficiently/his play might deteriorate. D) He will remember what is in store for him the next time he plays the Vikings. E) other teams QBs will fear what might happen to them against the Vikings.

Oh, I am in complete agreement and sacking Rodgers 7 times in a win would make me jubilant, but that just is just one more X factor we have to fight through.

McCarthy doesn't want to head in to the playoffs cold, you are going to get the Packers best shot week 17 regardless of the standings, but ESPECIALLY if there are playoff implications involved for you guys.

I don't want to win on a technicality anyway. Let GB bring it, I want a good battle.

I agree. My fan based desire to go undefeated (lmao) conflicts with the football romanticist that I am who wants to play the Vikings week 17 for the Division title.. on a cold frigid night in the frozen tundra..

Question about the game because I didn't watch...

Why didn't Detroit kick a FG on 4th and goal from the one at the end of the game? They needed a FG anyway, right?

I imagine they assumed it'd be easier to get a TD there, and then drive down the field a bit for a FG after an onside kick recovery, than to take a FG there then have to drive all the way down the field again after the onside recovery for a TD.
