He makes T- experiment look good
T-Jack is an actual, bonafide, NFL backup quarterback! He's also one of the best free agent QBs on the market next year. Webb isn't a quarterback and he wasn't when he was drafted. It takes more than being big, having a strong arm, and quick legs to make a great quarterback. The position is 80% mental/personality/psychology. You can win a few games on talent, but not against a prepared and top-tier opponent. Definitely not in the playoffs.

Good thing that Ponder shaped up just in time...the free agent market is terrible.

I said I would be happy with an 8-8 record... we did much better than that.

Can they forfeit at this point? No point in risking injury

Middle linebackers have to make the reads. You've got to be smart. Brinkley is not. He's more of a DE in a linebacker's body trying to play a position that requires a lot more than athletic talent to play. I played mike, and even in high school, you have to know what is going on and read the offense. I'd rather have a guy who isn't the most athletic in the world playing that position (who knows how to play the position) than a pure athlete. Different story at DT or strong side backer...but mike is the quarterback of the defense. You have to adjust to things that the coaches can't see and immediately handle. Defenses that have smart middle linebackers are good defenses.

...and I returned home at half time because I couldn't deal with the mob of idiotic Packer fans (and these aren't even Wisconsinites...these are West Coast Packer Fans that couldn't even name the GB backup RB in a pop quiz) behind me down at the bar.

Not enough Viking fans in downtown Portland to feel miserable with. :(

Why is it AD has to wait for his lineman every play tonight?
