The offense lost this game ,not walsh.

Walsh didn't cost them this game. He was just one of many Vikings players that made costly mistakes.
Like I said, he cost us that game. If he makes the damn extra point, something that 99.5% of kickers do in this league, the game is over.

And like I said in the beginning of the season, he was bound to cost us a game. And that's exactly what he did today. Blame whoever else you want. That extra point wins us this game. Period

I know its still early in the season and I never do this but the feel of this team makes me think there is no way they recover from this. Two division games in two weeks to two below average teams and they lose both.

I am honestly done watching games this year and getting worked up. Done, i'll catch #### on the highlights

Sure seems like if Walsh had made an XP that other kickers make 90% of the time they win this game? Offense did what they needed to to win. Walsh didn't. I don't even care about the blocked FG but that would have for sure iced it along with the XP.

the real problem now is the team can't even play effective defense. we all know how lousy our offense is (they didn't look all that bad today) but without defense forget it. the reality of it is, lets say we did go deep into the playoffs who would trust walsh with a field goal to win a game? certainly not me.

No, if walsh makes the XP it's a 1 pt win.

After 2009 he should have been banned fron vikings games. His group hasmade countless errors against the Vikes.

Time to hit the panic button now with Walsh. If you can't score touchdowns on offense you better be able to kick field goals. Guy hasn't been right since the miss against the Seahawks last year and is costing them games this year.
He hasn't been right but a blocked FG isn't necessarily on the kicker. I only saw one replay of that kick but it didn't look like he hit the ball extremely low or anything. I think the Lions just made a play on that one. The missed extra point was far more egregious, especially because he's done that too many times this season.
The rest of the team has completely collapsed. Defense can't get pressure anymore and is not playing fundamentally sound football anymore with missed tackles and just poor overall effort in many cases.

Don't know where they go from here to be honest.
Practice fundamental football, game plan for the Redskins and keep trying to right this ship.

How many points didthe offense leave on the field? More than walsh. Extra points an field goals are not gimmes this year.

This feels like 1972 when several games were like this one. We ended up 7-7. Can't fly my Vikings flag anymore. Neighbors will tease me. And I live in Indiana.

So we can safely say the Vikings are no longer a team on the rise, right?

Looked like a shank to me. It wasn't going in unless it had a nasty right hook on it. The shank gave the Lions a better opportunity to block a kick that wasn't going in anyway.

Fly it at half staff, or better yet, upside down as a sign of severe distress!
