I don't know. There are a lot of fans that have high hopes for Mauti, who has more ACL tears than Lee. Lee reminds me a lot of Bob Sanders in regards to ability but never able to stay healthy.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer says Josh Gordon was in Stage 3 of the league's substance-abuse program at the time of his latest alleged positive test.

It's a crucial distinction because a violation while in Stage 3 carries a minimum suspension of one year. Afterward, players must apply for reinstatement to the league. Meanwhile, both Gordon and the league have maintained complete silence on the matter since the story broke in early May. Gordon's camp is appealing, the grounds of which are unknown.

The Cowboys see Sean Lee's rehab as an 8-12 month process.

Although Lee did not sustain any other ligament damage Tuesday outside of his torn left ACL, he will miss the entire 2014 season. The only silver lining is that he should be truly ready for the 2015 season, unlike recent players that rushed back too quickly from their tears (Robert Griffin III). IDP owners need to get fourth-round rookie Anthony Hitchens on their radar.

And...it is a shame about Sanders. He used to be one of my favorites.

Since they released him, does he still get his salary? (Just curious...Seems like the guy has a pretty good gig if he can keep getting teams to pony up a years salary).
