I wish the draft is tonight so we can find out already

No one thought any team would be trading a first for Bradford but Vikings did so anything can happenVikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:06 pmI would be beyond shocked if that were to happen. Even their fans are willing to settle for a 3rd round draft pick. If they were to somehow get a first I bet it would be for next year and have them sending a 3rd or second back to the team giving them the future first.Dakotavike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:02 pm
Well yeah, that would be way too steep if it’s true. Although I personally doubt they’ll be able to pull that off.
Everyone thought a team would be willing to trade a first for Bradford. He was a #1 overall draft pick IIRC. If not for injuries would have had a great career.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:08 pmNo one thought any team would be trading a first for Bradford but Vikings did so anything can happenVikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:06 pm

True, true and it sucks about Bradford since I am a Sooners fan, Bradford is like Favre, great the first year but did not work out the next yearVikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:27 pmEveryone thought a team would be willing to trade a first for Bradford. Dan Patrick: Trent Williams will be traded for a 1st round pick![]()
Hard pass.
I think he still has game and if I could make the decision I would be willing to trade Reiff and a 3rd for him.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:43 pmThat is NUTS.
Trent Williams has been a great player in this league. But he hasn’t played a full season since 2016!
Just say no, Rick.
I'm nervous for tomorrow now! Rick may be in win now mode, so I could imagine it being a 2021 first. But that would not make me a happy Viking.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:43 pmThat is NUTS.

If Vikings give up 2021 2nd rounder next year, I would be okay with itTexas Vike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:35 pmI'm nervous for tomorrow now! Rick may be in win now mode, so I could imagine it being a 2021 first. But that would not make me a happy Viking.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:43 pm

Reiff is far from a sure thing competent LT. We lose very little if we pulled off the Reiff + 3rd or 4th for Williams. We'd be upgrading a key position and still have 11+ picks to address other holes.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:43 pmThere is a very good chance Washington wouldn't want Reiff back in a trade.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 10:50 am
Do the Browns have a competent LT to send back to Washington? I think that gives us the edge.
I also question trading for Williams if Reiff is such a sure thing competent LT. Don't we have other holes to fill where we don't even have close to competency? Like LG, RG, 3 Tech and CB?
Is this a credible source? If so, that is insane. I'd go no more than a 2nd and that's pushing it. I think this is just Washington trying to ramp up their leverage as much as they can but in the end, I still dont think they have much. If you dont find a trade partner, you once again pay him to not play. But when it comes to Washington, it wouldnt surprise me. They've only had a million offers in the last two years and refuse to take one thinking he's going to magically come back and play for them. Why dont you pass up on a little more Washington, seems to be working out for yaTexas Vike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 3:57 pmPete Smith

Everybody wants Reiff to handle all these DEs and give up no sacks. That is just so unrealistic. Those guys are among the best and highest paid players in the league. If your LT can just keep the damage to a slow leak that is respectable. Reiff isn't great, but he is respectable.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:08 pmReiff is far from a sure thing competent LT. And I agree with VV, I'm not sure why they wouldnt take Reiff. Like I get it, they have no shot at anything in the NFC but you also need someone blocking for your QB
Dan Patrick was one of the most well known sports anchors on ESPN ever. He should be credible, but who is this Pete Smith reporting that Dan Patrick said this?Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:12 pmIs this a credible source? If so, that is insane. Reiff toes the line IMO. Nobody expects him to give up 0 sacks. But just to put things in perspective:VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:39 pmEverybody wants Reiff to handle all these DEs and give up no sacks. That is just so unrealistic. Yeah that's what I'm saying. Patrick I would trust but no idea who Pete Smith is. This reminds me of the Beckham rumor. Some random guy tweeted we traded for Beckham and said Jay Glazer reported it, when he clearly never did.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:41 pmDan Patrick was one of the most well known sports anchors on ESPN ever. I'm just guessing that LTs give up more sacks than RTs, probably due to facing better defensive players. Any stats on that? I'm of the belief that unless we get one of the top three OTs anybody we pick up at OT will not be as good as Reiff, but could understudy or play a guard this year and take over for him next year.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 12:13 amReiff toes the line IMO. In 3 years as a Viking, Reiff has given up 11 sacks in 43 games. (0.26 sacks per game)
In 2 years as a Vikings, O'Neill has given up 1 sack in 26 games (0.04 sacks per game)
In his last 3 years playing, Williams has given up 3 sacks in 35 games (0.09 sacks per game)
Then lets take a below average LT like Charles Leno from Chicago.....
In the last 3 years, Leno has given up 13 sacks in 48 games (0.27 sacks per game)
Reiffs play has been average at absolute best. But the numbers above show we can do much better. I think it is also a sign we are meeting with so many OT's leading up to the draft. Clearly the coaching staff isnt impressed either. I remember specifically, the Bills game in 2018. Reiff gave up 12 pressures that game. TWELVE! To Jerry Hughes who is a good pass rusher but far from elite. Reiff doesnt have the foot quickness like someone like Oneill does so he struggles mightily with speed rushers. That is a problem on your QBs blindside. Especially one that is a pocket passer.
