That said, it's no skin off my nose regarding who Zimmer keeps and doesn't keep among the WRs. I trust Zimmer as the head coach and right now I'm fine with any decision he makes.

That hits the nail on the head for me.

Zimmer and Norv Turner know what they are looking for, what they expect, and what they are getting and likely to get from the guys on the roster. If they think CP is a bum, I don't see either one of them waiting around to shove him out the door. Its because I trust both of their judgment that I'm sure if they keep CP around, CP is going to get opportunities to be a factor.

I completely agree with losperros. I don't care how he gets in the field or if it is only 8 snaps a game. If he yields 10 TDs, he's worth it.

I knew from the headline that was a Zulgad piece. That guy is really wearing on me. Hopefully Patterson can turn it around. Let's not make more of one miscommunication in a preseason game define his career. Until now he's had largely a solid camp by all reports.

Funny, I do not share the sentiment that most journalists are better than Zulugad. I think the majority are down in the mud with him, that seems to be the norm. Along with lawyers that profession is amongst the most vile. What a world where someone with little to no real or applicable experience is thrust into a position where they get to frame how a particular aspect of society is viewed and discussed. I can't help but wonder why we allow those who produce nothing but under informed commentary determine the lens through so much of our world is viewed.

It's like he enjoys insulting or taking guys down. I mean, Pelissero was critical of some guys (Mike Jenkins, for example) but he was mostly dispassionate and analytical in his criticism. Zulgad has gotten very flippant/snarky/arrogent in his pessimism IMO. I don't mind sharing an opinion or criticizing players, but I guess it's the delivery, context and word choice that rubs me the wrong way. YMMV.

Put quite simply, Zuglad, Zlugad, Zulgad, whatever (Zoolgaf? Slug bag?) is a complete D-Bag. Always has been. He lets his biases factor strongly into his work.

I pretty much agree with the above. One thing that seems obvious to me is that Patterson immediately trailed off last season after Adrian Peterson no longer played. When AD is on the field, the attention is on him freed Patterson up during the 2014 first game. Just a thought.

I dont understand why people think that teams are just going to give up picks, valuable picks, for a guy that has trouble learning Turners offense/running routes, let alone another brand new one if he was traded. I mean do you think teams are blind and don't see Patterson's struggles?? It's just not even realistic if you really think he is going to be traded. This is the NFL, not Madden
