You're right. Stranger things have happened.

Wouldn't that be something if by some circumstance, Ponder ends up leading this team into the playoffs (or at the least a couple of significant wins)? This board would be flipped upside down. I would be eating Crow breakfast, lunch and dinner for a long time.

I don't think we have to worry about some Ponder crow any time soon.

@GoesslingESPN: Talked with Kyle Rudolph at Larry Fitzgerald's camp today. Said he's down 15 pounds, has been honing route-running for Turner's offense.

Any other Vikings at Fitz's camp this year?

I thought I heard that Jennings and Patterson were attending this year. Other than that, I have not heard much about it this year.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune said "all the signs point" to Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph breaking out this season.

Rudolph has been diligent in his recovery from the broken foot that sidelined him for the final eight games last season, reportedly dropping 15 pounds and working on his technique in order to be quicker out of his breaks. He should also get a big bump from the arrival of OC Norv Turner, who helped Jordan Cameron break out last season.

Agree with most. I also think Jeff Locke makes a good leap forward despite the Vikings playing outdoors. I also expect Kalil to rebound and have a great year.

Improvements

1. Blair Walsh back to rookie season form.
2. Jarius Wright
3. Robison (10+ sacks, Pro Bowl potential)
4 and 5. Harrison Smith and Xavier Rhodes, no injuries

Regressions

1. Ponder (won't start a game)
2. Charlie Johnson
3. Phil Loadholt
4. Jamarca Sanford (loses starting gig)
5. Greenway

I think Loadholt and Greeway will be just fine.

On top of that, if they start a rookie at QB it will mean a lot of safety valve catches for Rudolph, and Peterson maybe.

Walsh certainly isn't getting off to a good start, is he? At least it's still the preseason.
