None that cost the Ravens the game though. When's the last time you remember a BS penalty setting the Vikings up for a victory? Maybe I just suffer from confirmation bias, but it seems like we lose far more games on phantom penalties than win. I do remember a phantom PI call vs Detroit at the dome in their 0-16 season that put us in FG range on the final drive of the game. We won 12-10 a few plays later on a last second FG. We're probably Detroits only win if that doesn't happen.

Confirmation bias sounds about right...how often are fans of a team going to remember the penalties that benefited them? Damn Pete Morelli! Anyone remember a single play that benefited the Vikings? Do they just not happen? Ever? The NFL is out to get us?...Every missed penalty is screamed about and posted about in the game thread...I don't recall a single blown penalty against an opposing team anyone mentions.

the nfl has always been rigged to a degree and today was the most blatant evidence i have ever seen. they clearly want the ravens in the playoffs and they made damn sure they are getting in with that joke of a game today, truly the worst officiating ive ever seen for a full game. the patriots game was just the icing on the cake, the nfl is becoming more and more pathetic.

5 in the last 2:30

Most aren't but off the top of my head I can think of one - 12 men on the field. I've seen that reviewed several times this year.

Illegal touching of a kickoff is also reviewable

Ha! I gave you an example of one I did remember at the end of my post, but I'm talking specifically about penalties that actually cost you the game. They happen far more often against us than for us and that's not confirmation bias.

That was 5 lead changes in the final 2 minutes. That's gotta be a record. And as I posted somewhere else, we shattered the record for most combined points scored in the final 2 minutes of a game at 36. The previous record was only 24. However I would have been more happy if that record stood at 29 because in that scenario we win 26-22.

Is that right? The Ravens first TD (of the five that were scored in succession) was just prior to the two minute warning.

I think the original post stated it was a record for the most points scored in the last 2:30 of a game.

Yeah ESPN had it at 2:30, but the points were actually scored from 2:05 on. They probably went by 2:30 because they don't have a category as specific as 2:05 lol.

2:05 Pitta 1 yard TD pass ........... Ravens 15-12
1:27 Gerhart 41 yard TD run ........ Vikings 19-15
1:16 Jones 77 yard TD KR ........... Ravens 22-19
0:45 Patterson 79 yard TD pass ... Vikings 26-22
0:04 Brown 5 yard TD pass ......... Ravens 29-26

Go back and watch a replay of Patterson's td. There were at least 2 blocks in the back that should have been called that weren't. No, it didn't cost the Ravens the game but it sure could have with only 45 seconds left in the game. There were blown calls on both sides, but more of them went against the Vikes.

Illegal forward pass. Or throwing the ball past the line of scrimmage. If I remember right there are 5 that are reviewable. those are the first 3.

Edit: Intentional grounding is another and I think illegal touching of a forward pass is the last. And possibly roughing the kicker. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... ts-texans/

While I do not think the coach can challenge the lack of penalty, they get around it by challenging the play. At which point all aspects of the play come into play. But they are not allowed to call holding and other penalties. Only a select few penalties may be called on review.
