Wow, down boy. Do you work for Ponder? Are you his attack dog? I don't see anyone advocating for Cassel to start already, man you Ponder supporters are paranoid. Don't worry Frazier already handed princess the job xD. He said, don't worry your pretty little head precious, you won't to compete like everyone else. He was just asking if there was a scenario where Cassel could possibly win the job. Now calm down.

lol yeah man I misread that one. It ain't the internet if that doesn't happen now and again. And no, I don't consider myself a 'Ponder apologist'...I don't think there is anything to apologize for other than not having a backup who can execute the gameplan. I just feel it's completely irrational to think there can be a logical debate based entirely on emotional whim and rampant speculation. And here I went and got myself sucked into one.....my bad brah~

It would have to be a litter of puppies, and then some of the blood from the puppies would have to land on an open wound on a small kid, and then the kid gets rabies, kills its parents, runs onto the field, and kills ANOTHER litter of puppies. Then maybe Ponder gets benched.

Hmmm, he does look like a puppy killer now that you mention it. That's something to keep an eye on.

Yep. We're back at Tjoke/Gus all over again. Ponder's job unless he's hurt. And as soon as he's healthy it's his job again.

Oh, and I HATE the new uniforms. To each their own, of course, but yuck. Helmets that are a different shade of purple from the jerseys? Really? And those numbers are too trendy. They'll be out of fashion by midseason. I'm an old fart, though, so take my rant at face value.

I finally got to watch some of the game on my TV last night and I'm definitely not crazy about the uniforms, although I'll probably get used to them. I think the helmets are the same color as the jerseys but they don't look the same most of the time. The matte surface of the helmet ends up looking like a warmer purple.

I wish both helmets and jersey were darker. The purple of the jerseys is a little bright.

Edit: I watched more of the game and how the uniforms look really seems dependent on the light and the camera's interpretation of the colors. At times the purple of the helmet and jersey look very close, at times different. In some shots the uniforms look darker than in others.

I'm looking forward to seeing them in person but I'm getting used to them already.

This may be an elementary question, but I've never known and just looked it up but o no avail. Can teams tweak/change things about a uniform/helmet during the season? It does appear that the helmet and uniform shades are off from each other, lighting or not, it looks odd. No comment on the numbers...

Teams can change their uniforms every five years. But, I believe they have to submit their changes to the league 18 months in advance. So, nope, a team can't tweak a uniform in the middle of the season.
