Of course it wasn't JUST him, that should go without saying, when is losing a game ever one players fault?

His pick though, was the main decider in the game, had he thrown to the open man, or tucked and ran, it would have probably been the end for the Saints, but instead he chose to do what everyone knew he was going to do, choke.

How many championship games were PH and AD in? Were they paid for this exact situation? No. But Favre was. And he did what hes well known for doing, he threw a pick. He said it was his fault. He choked. There is a lot of blame to go around. But Favre had the Lions share. And thanks for the tip. There was a time when personal insults weren't allowed here but whatever floats your boat.

Favre's had 2 INTs as well including the bone headed final one and Berrian and Harvin both fumble as well. Berrian's was in or near the redzone and Harvin fumbled an end around near midfield.
Didn't the other INT come off the obviously illegal hit that the league came out and admitted was bad afterward?

Ahhh what if....

Anyone actually think Favre could have played in the Superbowl that season, after the beating he took? He hadn't even recovered enough to move decently after an entire off season.

Is it at all off-putting to know that the back up QB was popping ambien to sleep before that game because he was worried about blitz packages? How would Sage have handled the superbowl? Even Favre, the great Favre, was stressed to the last minute worried about the blitzes and the Vikes ability to handle them.

I think the only thing that matters in 2013 about this game is that it doesn't matter who your QB is if you can't consistently keep him upright. Enough of the hits that Favre took in that game were close enough to legal as they were illegal. They didn't protect the ball and they didn't protect Favre.

They still can't protect the QB 4 seasons later........

Yes. And I believe taking away the pick and giving us the penalty yards, we would have been in the red zone or close to it. I can't be for sure (it's been a minute!), but I think that's how it would have went. This game is hard to think about let alone talk about. We need to hurry up and do something magical so I can forget about this game and just put it behind me.

That was disgusting! As well as several other blatent calls, that proved the Vikings were playing the refs as well as the Taints.

With that said 98 still hurts more, because that was our year.
