Percy is no longer on our team so I don't care what happens to him. But I don't wish any ill will towards him as well. Never wish injury on other players or other teams. It's bad Karma.

If I'm happy about anything it's that this isn't the Vikings problem now as it would have been sans the trade.

I'm also extremely stoked that the Vikings got Patterson who I think can play Harvin's role in the offense better than Harvin. Patterson is bigger with a bigger wingspan and while he's a bit raw coming in I think his ceiling is higher overall. Where Harvin took a handoff or caught a ball and banged into someone full speed, Patterson is going to do everything he can to avoid the contact and juke a guy. Fewer hits of less intensity over time do add up, so while Harvin is starting to experience fairly significant injuries at the peak of his career presumably because of his playing style, Patterson is much more likely to make it farther into his career before anything similar happens due to his playing style.

I think after all is said and done it will be apparent the Vikings came out way ahead on this deal.

As for Harvin specifically, I really enjoyed watching him play. He is an electric player and can do things few players do. I don't wish him any ill at all and I hope he can return and put up a few more highlight reels before he's done. I just hope it never comes at the expense of the Vikings, and personally I'm looking forward even more to seeing what Patterson can do, because I think it's going to be amazing.

let's for a second say that harvin hated Minnesota. hated everything about it. he hated you. he hated me. he even hated walleye and cheese curds. let's get more extreme and say that even if he could tolerate all those things....he simply left for more money. what?! you mean to tell me there are still jerks out there that will relocate themselves and their entire family to do the exact same job simply for more money?!

The other unusual aspect of the NFL, compared to other occupations, is you usually don't get to select your employer. Where you're drafted is where you go (unless you pull an Eli Manning). That alone makes loyalty a lot harder. If I were in the NFL and got drafted by the Packers that would be a pretty rough situation. Although for the millions of dollars I guess I could cope

He's just a piece of crap to me. Play out the contract you agreed on and signed and EARN your big contract like a man, But Harvin prefers to act like entitled ####. Not surprised he's hurt at all and he won't ever be the same talentwise, He'll be out of the NFL in 2 years. He has no heart and is not a man, just a PUNK BOY. Good riddance of trash

He has enough talent to float around for three to five
Years I think so desperate team will keep him in hopes
They can get the best out of him

Nah, I feel you. My loyalties lie with the Vikings, not individual players. I feel like Harvin could have handled his situation a LOT differently--and quite frankly, with a lot more respect and maturity. I felt he disrespected the Vikings organization in a big way--from the top on down. All of the talent in the world doesn't mean as much if you have a bad attitude to go along with it.

Harvin needed to go, and I'm glad he's gone. We got rid of him at just the right time, for a great price! I couldn't be happier. If we would have kept cry baby, he wouldn't have played this season (because I highly doubt he'd bother coming back for the last month for the Vikings), and we wouldn't have gotten anything for him as he left. It was awkward and stung a little bit at the time, but now the move just looks pure genius!
