Probably because Ingram wasn't a cut candidate like Bradbury he was worth something. Once the Kelly signing happened every team knows Bradbury is toast.
Is anyone else concerned about Kelly's injury history? Obviously, he's an upgrade over Bradbury in terms of talent when healthy, but he's on the older side and he's had some trouble staying on the field the last few seasons.
Maybe the Vikings will hang on to Bradbury? If they were to trade him, who is going to back up the center position?
I was thinking the same thing about keeping Bradbury as a backup. Maybe the center they picked last year is ready to be the backup. Perhaps they see a guy in the draft. Forget that one. We'll see when camp starts.

Sooooo......
Aaron Rodgers wants to play for the Vikings ! He has seen all of the tools in the shed and sees an opportunity to win a SB. As a Purple Daily fan, all I want is a SB before I die, I have mixed feelings if it happens with AR at the helm.
The Vikings cannot allow that POS to get in TCO.
He was not good last year. He is not the same AR.

Hopefully this is accurate:

Would they even have the cap to sign Rodgers if they wanted to? They seem to have basically spent their "high dollar" player cash.

This article claims that the Rodgers decision is all up to KOC and he is still considering it:

Please KOC, stick with the plan and go with McCarthy. You don’t want to waste another year of his development.

I've read from good writers (Alec Lewis) that they can make the cap work without much issue.
Really don't want AR in the building. Hoping this is just a distraction from his camp.

Just traded for Jordan Mason and signed him to two year deal...
Gave up #160 and 2026 6th. We got the #187 back with Mason.

This is a big move. This guy should be the bell cow and Jones the 3rd down back.

Mason is a huge luxury as a backup. Great move.

If the rumors are true that AR would come here for 5 Mil I would do it. It's a win-win situation. 3 possible scenarios:
1. He plays great and with our new defense McCarthy will get a lot of playing time to get his feet wet.
2. He plays like crap and McCarthy replaces him.
3. He starts to act up and we bench him.
Looks like a win/win situation.

Latest I’ve heard is that the Vikings are still $30+million under the cap, due to a lot of back-ending of the deals they’ve signed. That was before they signed Jordan Mason (great pickup, by the way) but his deal doesn’t use up that much.
Which brings me to a grave concern … why are the Vikings holding on to so much cap space for 2025?
Please, please somebody tell me it’s NOT so they can sign Aaron Rodgers.

OK it's not for Rodgers but Kirko Chainz or Captain Kirk or whatever fits now.

I could see bringing Rodgers in if KOC was in a do or die situation like Chilly was. He signed a new contract that stretchers somewhere out in the future. He's in a no lose situation. He can write this season off as a QB development year. Maybe KAM will put pressure on to win the whole dam thing so he can keep his job. If that's the case Rodgers could be the starter.

Update
According to Mike Silver of The Athletic, it’s 50-50 that Aaron Rodgers will sign with Minnesota. He also says the decision belongs solely to Kevin O’Connell.
And to think, I just applied for season tickets. I’ve waited my whole life for this. If I have to watch that weirdo … I swear I might hurt myself.
