I don't think so, Ken. I think this is a different injury.

@Luke_Spinman One guy who consistently impressed me is converted S to LB from Canadian league Brian Peters..2nd team base 4-3 LB looks natural in run/pass
@murphPPress: Zimmer said Barr frustrated dealing with nagging inflammation in surgically repaired knee; still not ruled out vs Steelers #Vikings

Related to last season's knee issue not the one worked on this offseason@1500ESPNJudd: Barr sat out practice again today for Vikings b/c of inflammation in left knee. Zimmer said, "We anticipate he'll be back pretty quick."
@chipscoggins: Said Barr: "Just being smart about it. No need to rush it right now. ... Things like this, you’ve got to be patient."
@Andrew_Krammer: Kalil described last year as ‘excruciating pain’ on his knees: “Now it’s quite normal, no knee pads, nothing wrong.”
This dude cannot stay on the field. pfft.dead_poet wrote:
I thought that he was good to go to start camp. This is not something that I wanted to hear. And with recent injury bugs popping up is disappointing to say the least.mosscarter wrote:that is what i'm saying. barr has been nothing but injury prone up until this point in his career. saying that he "doesn't want to rush it" might look okay on the surface, but when you've been having nagging injuries for well over half a year can't be good. i hope for the best with him, but i wouldn't be surprised if he misses even more time. we are talking about knee problems on different knees within 7 months.
To me, if there is ANY question about whether he should play Sunday, then there should be NO question that he should NOT play.dead_poet wrote:There it is.
I can't imagine he'd play either but inflammation is kind of weird. It can kind of come and go suddenly. If he does play, I doubt it's for more than a series or two.VikingPaul73 wrote: To me, if there is ANY question about whether he should play Sunday, then there should be NO question that he should NOT play.
Its the 1st of 5 preseason games for the Vikes, no need to push it!!!
@Andrew_Krammer Lutman, Line, Barr, Berger, Yankey, Dubose, Crichton and Robinson are not practicing for #Vikings today
