"It’s starting to feel like Jim Harbaugh is simply “using” the Minnesota Vikings" - https://vikingsterritory.com/2022/analy ... ta-vikings

"Well, come Monday we’re finding out that there was no in person interview, but maybe a Zoom interview. Then we find out that it wasn’t a Zoom interview but more of a phone interview. Then it finally comes out that it was just an “exploratory” phone conversation between the two sides to start a conversation.

It’s starting to look like the Vikings are maybe just getting played by Harbaugh’s team and…wait for it…THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!"

Just that Harbaugh and Adofo-Mensah chatted on Saturday. Wasn't a formal interview and a formal interview has not (yet) been scheduled. For now, the Vikings' search is focused on Kevin O'Connell, Raheem Morris, and DeMeco Ryans.

Also: I have read that the Vikings are flying to LA to interview these guys.
I would not be excited about hiring the OC or DC from a team in the superbowl, as a general rule. It's just so lazy and obvious.
It's much better than that DC from the Giants who hasn't done anything. It couldn't get much worse than that. I'd prefer the offensive guy O'connell. But I think he goes to Jax which is a much better opportunity for him. At least he has a young QB that has top level talent and a great draft position that can be turned into other picks. Once that's in place you have a chance at success. If that piece isn't there the mountain is much steeper. Then you hop on the recycled bum after bum forever train which never stops. Denver is on that train right now. It's headed nowhere but a wreak.

The Minneapolis city council voted to get rid of the police force and the city burned because of wokeness. That might not dissuade any of those guys from coming here, LA and SF are much worse, but let's not pretend Minneapolis doesn't have serious issues because of the looneys in charge there.
So you're claiming that the city of Minneapolis has no police force right now?

Also, I'm pretty sure the city of Minneapolis is not a charred hulk.

And no place "burns because of wokeness". Things burn because they are set on fire. In the case of people doing that setting, those people are not "woke" - they are criminals. Don't insult my intelligence by suggesting only "woke" people can be criminal.

Every place has issues and every place has people with issues. In some places the issues are more apparent and more open to debate and discussion. In others, they are hidden away in rat-infested cellars where the people like to pretend they don't exist and therefore don't have to address them. The process of addressing issues can be messy and can result in some things that seem strange on the surface, but I am fairly certain that no area votes to rid itself of police if the police themselves are performing their jobs with integrity and accountability to the citizens (all of them) they are there to protect and serve.

We're getting into political conversation which is against board rules. Let's get back on topic.

Did that actually happen? I thought it was just a rumor and a joke. If you you are correct looney's are in charge. That's about the same level as having biological males competing in women's sports because they feel like a woman. Can a 25 year old compete in 60 and over senior sports because he identifies as a 60 year old. No, because he isn't a 60 year old. Common sense is not common in our society any more. The Looney's are in charge.

Supposedly, Harbaugh has already picked Miami over the Vikings, but how does that even make sense if he's still coming in for an interview. Sometimes you really have to wonder about "Sources", but I guess we'll see if Harbaugh comes in for an interview

He might be coming in for an interview to try to drive up his salary/benefits/whatever. If the Vikings offer him more than Miami he could take that deal back to them, for example.
Or he could simply take the Vikings better offer.

They voted unanimously to disband the police, but then it was put on a ballot and the residents voted to keep the police, but only 56% voted against disbanding.

You’re citing Vikings Territory?

I should start a Vikings website from my basement. Then people will cite me.

In the end, unless Miami or the Vikings lowball him, he will take the offer from the team who he believes gives him the best chance at winning.

The author AJ Mansour is on KFAN radio, which carries the Twin Cities Vikings radio broadcast. So no different than Skornorth that you like to mention. Of course it is speculation which is what we are doing here as well. As I mentioned before it still may be possible that the Vikings are interested in Harbaugh, but people here seem to think he has or have an offer from the Vikings soon.

We do know, yes, that they had an "exploratory" discussion to gauge interest from both sides, but I have yet to see any evidence that it is anything more than that at this point. We know they have in person interviews scheduled with O'Connell, Morris, and Ryans, but nothing official with Harbaugh. They need to inform the NFL offices for these interviews, so when that happens I'll take it more seriously.

As the world turns....
@AdamSchefter
on the #Vikings HC search + Jim Harbaugh: "They've talked. I think the Vikings are focused on other areas, they're flying out to California to interview both of the Rams coordinators ... I don't sense there's anything close with Harbaugh/Vikings at this time..."

I just saw this on the other Vikings site I go to.

@VikesCentral
Jim Harbaugh is in “serious talks” with Minnesota for the open head coach position. The belief is Harbaugh will interview with Minnesota on Wednesday, with the hope of a contract offer.

Jim Harbaugh conveyed legitimate interest in the Vikings' head-coaching job during his interview with the team, per source, with Minnesota coming away feeling Harbaugh is ready for a return to the NFL. As of now, he's still considered in the mix for that job.

I hope he bombs his interview and offers the job to Ryans
