Being better in preseason against lesser opponents means absolutely nothing.

Including at least two teams that only kept one qb (Sea, DEN).
No. Who claimed him today, this year.

So far, nobody's claimed Sloter.

The regret is overwhelming.

The fans of this team can be almost as frustrating as the team's performance.
Why trade for a player you know is getting cut?

In fairness, it's a holiday weekend. Teams usually take a bit of time to iron out their 53 after cut down day.

I honestly believe that his fanbase was becoming an issue. While the Bikes may have thought he was just a bit better than Mannion and not worth the eventually Kirk vs Sloter war. Mannion is safe.

Things probably get real dicey if that happens.
Any team that loses their starting QB are done. That could actually save them. Some teams are done with their starter. Remove Rberger from Pitt and say bye bye to the coach and GM? That won't happen because they have an excuse.
What you think will happen is actually a blessing for our two. Like all teams we don't have a backup that is at a good starters level.
Case proved that theory wrong.

That's true for all backups, no?

No a miracle did that. Case proved me right at Philly. When he never showed up.

Sorry but that wasn't all on Case. That was a team effort coaches included.

About six teams showed interest in signing quarterback Kyle Sloter, waived by the #Vikings, to the practice squad. He's going to Arizona. But I heard another that had lots of interest was Detroit.

It's always a team effort. Case early int for a TD helped start the blow out. He also did his part. And yes the D never showed up also.

Actually that doesn't matter.

Sloter, by virtue of having less than 4 seasons in the NFL, is subject to the waiver process. The claiming period for players placed on waivers ended at noon today, Eastern time. The order of priority for waiver claims is the same as the first-round selection order for the 2019 NFL Draft (that is, based on records from last season). So if somebody really wanted Sloter, they would have claimed him already.

Once waivers are over, teams begin assembling their practice squads, and it's a scramble. There's no way a team sits out this process just because it's Labor Day.

Sloter could (and probably will) end up with a team. He's a viable third quarterback. But it doesn't appear he's thought of around the league as a #2.
