Winfield was a stud. Zimmer-Winfield would've been a
great tandem.

Winfield and Smith being on the same team would have been cool too. Those are some guys that hit hard.

They were in 2012!!!! Unless, you are talking about the non-rookie Harrison Smith and them being in Mike Zimmer's defense.

I take my hat off to Linval...I was not big on several of our DT's last year. Our DT's played like all pro's the last few
weeks. Even with Floyd out, for a while. The cool thing is our defense will likely be even better next season with a lot
of young players getting better Kendricks, Barr, Floyd, Smith, Hunter, Tratou (sp) etc etc ... I honestly believe we have a
championship level defense. We have to get our OL fixed and we really should be in the hunt.

Yeah, sorry, I wrote that wrong. Specifically on Zimmer's defense and when Winfield wasn't in his last season in the league lol

An AP story from foxsports.com:
Joseph aiding ascent of Vikings defense
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Restructuring the porous Minnesota Vikings defense started with one big move for coach Mike Zimmer in 2014: signing 329-pound nose tackle Linval Joseph.
Looking for an anchor in the middle of the defensive line, Joseph was the first free agent signed by Minnesota under Zimmer's watch. The Vikings lured the big tackle from the New York Giants on the opening day of free agency last year with a five-year, $31.25 million contract.
Zimmer's defense has taken hold in Year 2 and it's no coincidence Joseph has been the man in the middle while Minnesota is allowing the second-fewest points and ninth-fewest yards per game this season.

It's taken me a while to think about whose jersey to get since the new ones had come out. It's time to retire my Jared Allen jersey and get me a Linval Joseph one! He is hands down, my favourite current player

Linval had another phenomenal statistical game against Green Bay with 9 tackles.
Unfortunately, many of those appeared to come a good five yards downfield. We didn't play the run very well against the Pack.

I like your style!
I ended up getting a purple Bridgewater jersey and a white Harrison Smith jersey. I have an addiction though...I want so many more.

That's a good choice as it will be unique. I have Bridgewater because it was given to me as a gift.

NOW YOU KNOW HOW GOOD LINVAL JOSEPH IS
http://insidethepylon.com/film-study/fi ... joseph-is/
While Joseph has the skill to rush the passer, he doesn’t have the ideal body for it. Where he excels is in his ability to shed, defeat down blocks, and flow to the point of attack in the run game. Exceptional hands get him off many blocks, and he has the pure strength to bullrush offensive linemen onto their backs. He does not, however, have the top end speed to make a consistent impact as a pass rusher. His sacks tend to happen when there’s a slow developing pass play, or when the coverage sticks to receivers.
But as you can see, Joseph presents offensive coordinators a unique challenge. His strength, technique, and motor make him one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL.
