Yeah, with a good blocking Oline (or what our Oline should have looked like without injuries) it could have been a real posibility. But not with Berger, Fusco and Clemmings. Im happy when AD get over 100 yard a game. Imagine what he might have if Load and Sully jadnt gotten hurt.

But them, we have been lucky to have a stout D that has played together for a lot of this season. And the main reason we are 6-2.

2 huge games could make the idea seem a lot more reasonable, who knows. The next three teams aren't great defensively.

Adrian Peterson "doesn't plan to pass the torch any time soon," and his production through eight games suggests he won't.

A return to the Vikings that started with a dud in San Francisco has since set up for one of the greatest single seasons by a 30-year-old running back in league history. With a NFL-leading 758 rushing yards in eight games, Peterson is on pace to become the first running back in his 30s to claim the rushing title since Curtis Martin in 2004. Obviously, health is a major caveat. Peterson has taken a beating behind an offensive line without its starting center or right tackle. Though he's only been on the injury report twice in eight weeks, playing through injuries to his hip, ankle and left hand.
At his current pace, Peterson would be just the fifth running back in NFL history to surpass 1,500 rushing yards in a season after turning 30, joining Tiki Barber (twice), Walter Payton (twice), Corey Dillon and Martin.

Agree totally on all points. I think Peterson is doing well considering the 'hand he has been dealt' (in terms of his O-Line), but it's not in the cards this year to surpass 2000 yards. Despite him being over 30, I still wouldn't rule it out for the future (if he can get some decent blocking)

978 yards so far this season. Needs 1022 yards over 7 games. Or an average of 146 yards a game. Still don't think it will happen. But today's game keeps the possibility alive.

He is so frigging amazing. We have come to expect him to bust a big one for a TD and he rarely disappoints. That TD must have really sucked for Raider fans. Im sure they were hoping for a quick 3 and out.

Another big game or two and that number keeps coming down. Maybe put up 400 or 500 in two games against GB? :v):

Peterson has four straight games with at least 100 yards and leads the NFL with 961 yards on the ground this season. Peterson also tied O.J. Simpson with his sixth 200-yard game.

Man I love Peterson, he grinds it out for the whole damn game then breaks an 80 yarder to ice it, so clutch!

unfortunately, I think "clutch" is one of the words I would not use to describe Adrian, as he often comes up short in the biggest moments, but he's a huge weapon. If Teddy can be clutch while the offense runs through Adrian and the defense stifles opponents, this team could go far.

He seems to be hitting his stride too... he flew past everyone on that long TD. I love it!
