What is this thought process? Why do some Vikings fans continue to want to rely on someone else's garbage QB to fix our QB problems?
How many Super Bowls has that gotten this team?
Unless they changed the date of the draft, I'm pretty sure all we can do is sign free agents or trade for guys right now.

I'm disappointed that Cousins doesn't appear to be the answer, and we probably have at least two more years with him. To make matters worse, we haven't drafted our future QB yet. I feel like we have built for today without thinking about the future. All in on stopgap quarterbacks with no one waiting and learning. I think that's part of the reason that people were/are so high on Sloter.

You hit the nail on the head. We have nothing in the hole. They gave Sloter a chance but he never improved and was cut. This same story has been going on long before Speilman. It's almost as if we need to tank a season when a good QB is available. Just like the suck for luck days. I don't see any other way around it. And there will be nothing available in FA. That's were the bums are.

Vikings will be drafting a QB in the 2020 draft. Cousins is only signed through next season. After next season is when I envision all the big decisions being made...until then...they prevail or we suffer through it.

Probably pretty rare that more offensive PI calls are called than defensive PI in a game. But there was 1 defensive PI in the game against Rhodes in the first quarter.

It probably should have been a hold not PI too since appeared to occurre before the ball was thrown. Gave the Packers like 40 yards instead of 5.

Bottom line we can't be a pass happy team. We need to stick with the ground game. We get above 20 PAs in a game we won't win. If we run the ball well we have a chance to win and maybe dominate. But our current OC can't see this. He's looking for the big time pass play. Good luck with that. We don't have an elite QB that can do that. He thinks Rodgers is on our team. We have a middle of the road guy with an OL that has trouble pass blocking. That's not a good combination for the idiots plan. If I'm Zim I would tell him don't throw until I tell you it's ok. That's the only way we can win.

TSonn, your post isn't getting many responses, but I found what you posted fascinating.
Diggs really is open. A LOT. Cousins isn't finding him, which is really puzzling, because if I were Cousins, I'd be looking his way often. Maybe Diggs is the second option on many of those plays, which is understandable given the pre-snap matchups that Cousins and the OC are seeing, but still, Diggs is open more often than not, often on deeper routes where he can do real damage if Cousins gets him the ball.
Be more fascinating to see if the Vikings adjust to this as they have the same tape and can see the same things.
The offense left a lot on the field against the Packers. The more I watch segments of that game, the more obvious that becomes. Hard to blame Cousins for all of it without knowing more about what he's being coached to do, but if they can get this buttoned up with that run game they have, this offense should become very potent. I'm hoping we see evidence of exactly that against a much more flawed overall defense this Sunday.

I expect Diggsy to go off Sunday after the coaching staff and players see this on film. Hopefully Oakland does notice and give whoever is guarding Diggs help.
