Not sure I would use the Porn Bowl as a measuring stick.

Despite the game lacking in competition, it could actually do a lot for Teddy's confidence.

Are you saying that Teddy doesn't have a long ball accuracy problem? Even on the one he threw to Robinson it was under thrown and he had to slow down and come back to get it. Fortunately he was so wide open it didn't matter.

Robinson came back towards the field but he didn't slow down. He even sped up once he saw the ball in the air. He came back towards the middle of the field but that's not necessarily an accuracy issue. I think the perception that Teddy has long ball issues are due to a lack of big/athletic WRs who can get separation and the conservative nature we take with our offense. Teddy had the big/athletic WRs last night with a vertical passing game and he went 6/8 for 129 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT. And, sure, the defense isn't out to injure anyone out there but those DBs want INTs just as much as the WRs want TDs so the vertical passing game is somewhat legit.
When is the last time we had a QB throw a 50 yard TD in the Pro Bowl? And you're dissecting the throw because you believe our QB doesn't belong in the Pro Bowl?

Freudian slip.
Although, it's not far from the truth.

So what is your excuse for Teddy's interception? I realize interceptions are going to happen, but that was terribly under thrown. I think you just want to ignore Teddy has some issues and want to blame those issues on everybody else. He does have down field accuracy issues, which was evident all year long.

his longest td throw of the year (at least through the air) came in a meaningless pro bowl game. that is like playing pitch and catch in the back yard. that throw was probably his longest pass in the air since two years ago to charles johnson against the jets. how sad.

that's what i was referencing the throw to johnson. the problem is that was 2014. top tier qb's throw td passes like that probably every other sunday and with teddy it's been 2 years.

The deep pass to McKinnon in the GB game was perfect. It's not Teddy'a fault Jerrick isn't 6' 3".

I think it's a bit rich to deny there is an issue down the field. It's an aspect of pressure that he hasn't fully learned to deal with at the NFL level, cause the word is he nails it in practice.
Is the pressure in his head or does it come with the clearly displayed shortcomings of the pass protection? Maybe, probably, both as they would seem to feed off one another.
The passing game has had very little rhythm to it. I was continually amazed that there was seemingly zero effort to run more no huddle drives to help build the rhythm. (maybe i misremember)
Any time Erin Rodgers needs to jump start the passing game they go no huddle and attack the defense.
Any and everytime I try to analyze TB and the offense's problems it comes back to an issue of playing waaay too conservatively. Maybe it will resolve when the line climbs outta the gutter. Hopefully that won't take the better part of 2 seasons.
In the meantime everyone else has stuff they could be doing much better with, including Bridgewater.

I have a feeling Teddy or Rick will be gone by the end of next year if we dont get the ball a few more times into the endzone. A speed WR, a RB we cant rely on to hold onto the ball, and needs an exact amount of yards to get a head of steam. out best TE blocking all the time, and a OC that more conservative then Teddy is (which wouldnt seem possible).
We have hit some and missed some with Rick. I think we should be better off with all the years hes been here, as a GM and other.
I think more of the problems are with Norv and the QB coach, his kid.
I love Teddy, Im his biggest fan

But he has to show he can get it done this year. We need TD's which means we need to open things up. He doesnt have to be Brady, but a consistent improvement is needed.

i'm a champion on the practice range too in golf. and then i get onto the course and it's a different story. if teddy even played average we could have been in the nfc championship game. he had to be the most hyped player coming into this season and didn't live up to any of it.
