Fairley to the rams because that d-line isn't scary enough...
Hopefully it was our 5th for Wallace. Any confirmation? I'd rather have Marshall but no way he was going to a north rival.

Anyone know how many picks we have now? Riverboat Rick is wheeling and dealing.

This is close to as bad of a deal for another small, in need of an attitude adjustment, as he was when he went to Miami and everyone here was yelling how horrible the deal was? Thats too much money unless he seriously adjusted his contract. Which I am betting he didnt. I guess we are dropping CP,Wright, and Theilen to make room for a big WR in the draft now, lol. Man I hate this pick. I at least wanted one of the big 3 WR in the draft.

I don't think we have the cap space to take on Wallace's bloated contract ($9.9M base this year) but since we traded him after 4pm we have 24 hours to into compliance. The other shoe is about to drop.

At first I was meh mike Wallace. But then thought about how he fits in this offense and with Teddy. I think he will be drastically better here than Miami as Teddy is very accurate on his intermediate balls. Tannehill is definition of check down. Go back and check out his stats it's amazing.
He was very productive in Pittsburgh. I see the same thing here. He is a burner. This trade now has me surprisingly excited.
I'd guess Schreff, Waynes, or BPA defensively at number 11 now.
I think Jennings stays put. Ok much of a leader.
Now go get Johnson Spielman!!! Has Johnson left town yet? I hope not.

This is kinda where I'm coming from. In terms of talent it was a great trade, but I'm a little leery of pricey weapons before the foundation is solid.
His effectiveness and the lines bolcking apptitude could really depend on the status of our ground game in the end.
He's a guy they were high on....

Why would we get rid of Wright?? If anything we would restructure Jennings and don't forget....we still haven't done anything with Greenways contract yet either. I don't understand why you think this is such a "bad" deal?? We gave up a 5th round pick. I can definitely see him restructuring

Agree on all points.
And in terms of Wallace's contract, I think they will restructure. Half the reason why Miami had to trade him was if they just released him it would be a $7 million cap hit. They had to get
something in return.
I think they'll restructure.

I think this fast tracks something in terms of getting Greenway figured out.
If you're Jennings do you take a pay cut? How much?
What could he still get from another team?

Did he even do anything in Miami? He only did well with Big Ben, and thats cause Ben had time to each a sandwich while he was behind the line waiting for someone to free up. Teddy wont have that time unless some HUGE changes are coming.

He posted 10 TDs this year!! And had a 17.5 YPC average in Pitt and a 12.8 YPC in Miami....mainly because Tannehill has a noodle arm. It has nothing to do with Tannehill not getting time to throw. Miami's offensive line was pretty good this year.

Dolphins acquired Kenny Still earlier today. His cap charge this is $634K. They dump Mike Wallace's contract who would have had a $12M cap charge to Miami this year. Miami gave Wallace an $11M signing bonus in 2013 (ouch). The Dolphins save $2.5M on their cap by trading Wallace, but they are going to carry $9.6M in dead money on Wallace's contract (double ouch).

Whoa, bro! I was with you until you said Tannehill has a noodle arm. That's so far from the truth. He can really spin it. His problem in regards to the deep ball was touch. He really struggled with it. Tannehill has a rocket for an arm though.
Mike Wallace was just never a good fit for Miami and with Tannehill at Q. Wallace is a perfect for a QB like Teddy and as a complement to a Charles Johnson.

He wasn horrible, yet not hugely better then Wright. I just hate Wallace (he's a punk, some NFL players are their whole career). Plus I didnt want us to go FA on this big of a WR. Too much money. I really wanted to draft WR. Maybe they will use it to get a few restructures. Wouldnt hurt so bad then. Really makes me wonder what they are doing with AD with 10 mil gone.

The Vikes had 20+ Million in cap room coming into Free Agency, that was with Peterson's contract taken into account. Since they've done nothing so far aside from Shaun Hill, Berger and Tom Johnson, they should still be on pretty solid ground and they still have Greenway in the wings willing to redo his deal and maybe even Jennings. With Wallace on board Jennings might feel a little more compelled to rework his deal too since there is now a Vet threat in town.
