The future of Matt Kalil

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
I have 0 faith in Matt Kalil at this point. Not saying that he can't improve and the light won't turn on, but the more time that goes on, that less likely that seems.

The only thing consistent regarding the o-line, other than it's poor play, is the coach.

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
Do you have the stats for this? What he ate for diner before hitting the weight room? How much sleep he got? Ive been pointing out he shouldnt have been on the field in weeks, and you say I never have facts. Let me see yours. Other then the fact he is getting blown up almost every play. Maybe you and PHP can go out to a bar and really get into an intelligent discussion about who on this team sucks. And not worry about us cannon fodder. Maybe the diner box in the bar has box seats where you can look down on everyone as you discuss. Whats already been pointed out by anyone with an IQ over 80.saint33 wrote:I have 0 faith in Matt Kalil at this point. I think both you and Demi said Jeff was one of the good coaches left after Zimmer came. Maybe im thinking of someone else. The Breeze wrote:The only thing consistent regarding the o-line, other than it's poor play, is the coach.

I seriously doubt it. I haven't an uplifting comment regarding anything about the o-line for a few seasons now.PurpleKoolaid wrote: I think both you and Demi said Jeff was one of the good coaches left after Zimmer came. Maybe im thinking of someone else.
Maybe a post or two about an individual performance...but as a whole, nada.

Our offensive line is my biggest concern right now..
Our receivers is my next biggest concern

This is exactly what I'm talking about with you. I'm not even involved in this conversation and you still run your mouth. You're like a damn 5 year old. Now we're bringing intelligence and IQ into the conversation?? Because you just know so much right?? I find it sad that some complained about my posts yesterday when this "guy" (for use of a better word) brings this junk into a thread regarding Matt Kalil. Makes me wonder about some things on here. But yeah he brings soooo much to the conversationPurpleKoolaid wrote:. Maybe you and PHP can go out to a bar and really get into an intelligent discussion about who on this team sucks. So would you have picked Blackmon (basically out of the league at this point) or Claiborne (benched) instead of Kalil?PurpleKoolaid wrote: Again, if I had as many picks as Rick has, I could find players like these. If you were a Lion fan, you would still be loving Millen.

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
Kalil WAS a great pick and was playing at a Pro Bowl level his first year. Who know what has happened to him after that first year but to blame
Ricky for drafting him is idiotic to say the least. He was everything as advertised from his college coaches, game films and all of the NFL "talking heads", that I heard from or read about.
Somehow Ricky should have known that he would be sensational his rookie year and then suck after that and not have drafted him

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
I agree and people can say what they want about Spielman and him drafting Kalil but bottom line is, nobody out there would have done it any differently and if they did, they would be in an even bigger hole because neither Claiborne not Blackmon are playing. I've yet to see anyone come to defense regarding this matter. Instead they just continue to criticize Spielman. There was no better choice at the time then Kalil. Re: The future of Matt Kalil
It is no ones fault that kalil was drafted. If Andrew luck was a bust, no one would question the GMs decision making.
Kalil needs to go see a sports therapist because he has some mental issues to take care of. You don't go from being a pro bowl rookie Left tackle to a turnstile over night without something going on in the old noggin, or a severe injury.

It has to be mental. He has the tools we know that. I think he's a little messed up in the head for whatever reasonsneaxsneax wrote:It is no ones fault that kalil was drafted. If Andrew luck was a bust, no one would question the GMs decision making.

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
I don't think his heart is into it....period. He says all the right stuff, but his in game body language suggests that the pilot light has gone out.
It would not surprise me if he is one of those guys who walks away.

Re: The future of Matt Kalil
I think it's the 2 years under the most passive coaching staff that's ever been responsible for coaching an NFL team. Leslie Frazier's work has yet to be fully undone. Now I don't know if that means Kalil will get fixed but I do believe that and maybe the feeling of "making it" after getting drafted so high and then a probowl his rookie year are the 2 biggest contributing factors...he lost the sense of urgency and is playing like he has his head up his arse.
