I couldn't agree more, let's start out the season with a W!
Re: Vikings @ Bengals Game Day
Vikings really ought to win this one. Burrow is back, but it's going to take him a few games to get back in the swing of things - mentally and physically. Plus Cincinnati is lousy anyway. (and what were they thinking passing on that tackle from Oregon (?) for a receiver)
Re: Vikings @ Bengals Game Day
This is Zimmer's and Kub Steaks type of game. The Bengals rush defense allowed 5 yards per carry last year so this will be the Cook show. He will be ridden into the ground and Matti will provide some relief carries. The Bengals secondary is terrible and our former CB is out. They can provide a pass rush from the right side with there new DE so a TE and Ham will be needed to provide help at the point and clean up. But I see this like the Atlanta game some pass attempts, a few passing yards and maybe a pass TD. The goal will be to eat the time off the clock , pound the ball and put up a few points and get out of there. We will win but the approach will allow the Bengals to be one big play away from turning the tables.

It's broadcasting in Spanish on the local Fox channel here in the Twin Cities. Fitting for this disastrous team.

Re: Vikings @ Bengals Game Day
I'm still up here on the Tundra in Alaska with no TV service but I do have internet, I was looking at our "Hidden talk" to see if anyone has found an internet site to watch the game today but nothing there. Anyone know of a streaming site to watch the game??
Don't pick a fight with an old Viking. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

Disappointing loss but not surprising, it reminds me of the season opener against the 49ers in 2015 when everyone was saying that it would be a easy win for Vikings against a terrible 49ers team but Vikings got embarrassed instead
Zimmer has his team unprepared against terrible teams as usual, he should have been fired last year after losing to a terrible Cowboys team at home

Re: Vikings @ Bengals Game Day
Vikes took the Bengals to OT, gave up 149 rushing yards with a 4.1 YPC average, ticked in with 12 penalties for 116 yards, and coughed up a key TO running it in OT when they were nearly in field goal range.
Then, allowed the Bengals to sneak a TE wide open on a 4th down play late in OT for a huge gain.
Watching this team it's hard to say they are any different than what we saw last year. Poor run defense, shaky pass defense, poor OL play with tons of drive-killing penalties, Cousins holding onto the ball with few deep attempts, etc. About the only thing I noticed that was markedly better than last year was the pass rush. They managed 5 sacks in this game against a pretty immobile QB, but even the pass rush was pretty spotty against a Bengals OL that has all the questions the Vikings OL had coming into this season.
About the only areas of the team that were markedly improved over last year's version were the punter and the kicker, both of whom did very well.
I realize it is only one game, but based on that one game it looks like last year on repeat.

No wonder Waynes left. It's ok we just didn't have the all star Barr. Wilf and Zimmer BOTH need to go.

Well, there goes our undefeated season. . .

Re: Vikings @ Bengals Game Day
I'll admit the Bengals won't challenge for the Super Bowl. But they have some nice young players. Burrow played good for a 2nd year QB who was sacked 5 times. I'll give him credit along with that young WR they have and Mixon played good. We turned the ball over and had too many penalties which never helps. Can't really call it a learning experience because were a vet team it was basically not playing good enough for a win on the road. Big question is how do you fix it. I don't have any suggestions.RandyMoss84 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 3:42 pm Disappointing loss but not surprising, it reminds me of the season opener against the 49ers in 2015 when everyone was saying that it would be a easy win for Vikings against a terrible 49ers team but Vikings got embarrassed insteadZimmer has his team unprepared against terrible teams as usual, he should have been fired last year after losing to a terrible Cowboys team at home

Zimmer treated the team with kid gloves in the preseason and it showed. Everyone came out flat and unprepared.
