Re: PHP's "Draft Day is almost here" Mock
Watching the ESPN mock draft last night and Kiper picked for us. He took a Defensive Tackle I've never heard of before and then they spent all of about 5 seconds talking about him before moving on. What the heck did we do that guy? Someone must of pissed him off.

Re: PHP's "Draft Day is almost here" Mock
That's the only other player I would consider (Mahomes). But one good year isn't enough for me. Wilson has the experience and in crucial situations, I'll take that experience. To be honest, I can see Seattle being very dangerous in the playoffs if they add weapon or two on the offense. And ...

Re: Vikings In-House Free Agents and Cut/Trade Tracker
Thought he got busted with a couple ounces? I didn't know he got busted at his house. I wonder what the NFL is going to do when it comes to Pot. I'ts kind of hard to do lot when they're legalizing it every where. They new he had issues with the reef so I kind of feel sorry for him. It's ...

Re: 2018 Offense Autopsy Redux - What really went wrong?
Nah, he is "just some random white receiver" that happened to be from MN, so Spielman offered him a chance to make the team.
The fact he was at the regional combine in Chicago is not evidence of anything. I am not sure why you think it is some kind of proof that Adam being a hometown kid wasn ...

Re: Vikings In-House Free Agents and Cut/Trade Tracker
Really happy with this extension. Where are they finding the money? The cap is a myth.
It's that Brzezinski guy, our Salary Cap Wizard, according to Wikipedia.

Doesn’t surprise me. Hence why he went undrafted last year. Going ...

I always say, I'm not saying this is what's going to happen. Will it be correct, no. I have hit on a decent number of picks over the years (Carlson, Waynes, Patterson, Hodges ...

Re: NFL Draft 2019 Discussion
I was joking about the LBer. I don't know the numbers but I wonder how much time we spend in the 4-3 setup. Let's face it the NFL is basically becoming a passing league. Your 3rd CB is almost more important. It would be nice to get an OL and WR that could start. The WR mainly will be the 3rd ...

Re: NFL Draft 2019 Discussion
Yeah I would love to trade down in the first but stay in the round obviously, and then use some of that ammo to trade into the back end of the first. Like maybe have pick 24 and like 30 in the end of it. We would get 2 guys that are 5th year option eligible. Spielman use to love doing that ...

Re: 2018 Offense Autopsy Redux - What really went wrong?
Dude come on. I do not recall a single person on this board thinking Thielen could be the "answer". Sure some wanted to see him play more, but not one person on here wanted him to take over as a starter. Maybe out of desperation but nobody thought he was any kind of long term answer like he ...

Re: Decision 2020: Fire, Extend or Wait Edition
I mean, the Pats defense played worse than ours and Brady at least made it a game. Heck, the Eagles defense played worse than ours and they won the SB with Nick fricken Foles.
Rodgers, Montana, Marino, etc would have kept us in that game too. They wouldn't have thrown a pick six, followed by ...

Re: Decision 2020: Fire, Extend or Wait Edition
I won't go into what I think the Vikings SHOULD do. That depends a lot on what happens in 2019, mentioned in the OP. I will comment on what I think the Vikings WILL do.
Spielman is not getting fired. If I were a betting man, I'd bet on him remaining the Vikings' GM beyond 2020. Why? Because the ...

Re: NFL Draft 2019 Discussion
I'll just go ahead and say it.
I doubt he drops to 18, but I want T.J. Hockenson. The guy is an animal. Colin Cowherd (I know, I know ... Cow Turd, but anyway) says he's the closest thing to Gronk in the college ranks right now, and I agree. Excellent pass catcher, nasty nasty blocker. I've seen ...

Re: 2018 Offense Autopsy Redux - What really went wrong?
It wasn't just the 1st round, it was the draft in general. Guard was the biggest need on the team, I'd dare say that was almost a near unanimous opinion from fans and experts alike. And Spielman sat on his hands for 6 rounds before grabbing one. Then the guy he takes doesn't even make the squad ...
