If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
If O'Connell wins a Superbowl, is O'Connell a better head coach than Grant or are you going to think Grant is still the best head coach no matter what?
Re: If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
Be the best to get one before Grant passes on but at that time KOC will become the greatest Vikings coach ever
Re: If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
KOC would get it. First one to do it. Plus with the CAP it's almost impossible to keep a solid core team together forever as every good to great team did back in the 1970s which was Grants era. Once drafted they were yours for the duration.
Re: If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
It’s going to be hard to think of Bud as second best but a Super Bowl win would likely tip the scales in KOC’s favor. We were one of the top teams through the 70’s so it was a decade long run for Bud’s teams. It’s a different game today than it was in the 70’s as has been pointed out.VikingsFan84 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 12:00 am If O'Connell wins a Superbowl, is O'Connell a better head coach than Grant or are you going to think Grant is still the best head coach no matter what?

I'm sticking with Bud. It would take multiple super bowl victories.

After seeing how exposed this team is, I dont think you have to worry about it.

Re: If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
The rams lost 3 games in a row last year after being 8-1 and won the Super Bowl. It literally means nothing. It’s about getting to the playoffs and how you play when the playoffs hitJJBreaksRecords wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 7:44 pm After seeing how exposed this team is, I dont think you have to worry about it.

Re: If O'Connell wins a Superbowl
I mean they lost 31-10 to the 49ers. That’s still pretty damn bad no matter what way you put it. And they actually lost to SF both times that year. Yet they beat them in the NFC championship. After getting beat by them 31-10. Like I said, what you’re trying to bring up literally doesn’t matter. What matters is getting in the playoffs (which we will) and how you perform from there. If you want to write them off over one game, then write them off I don’t really care. But like I said, it’s about how you finish, and we are far from the finish. That’s been proved many of timesJJBreaksRecords wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 11:23 pmHow many times did they lose the by 37 points?J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 10:22 pm

Over multiple Super bowl losses. Gotcha!!!! I'm a Grant fan, 3 NFC Conference championships. Accomplishments as a head coach, He's right up there with Dan Reeves. Both of them got close but no cigar.Maelstrom88 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 4:10 pm I'm sticking with Bud. It would take multiple super bowl victories.

Well, with an 8-2 record some naive fans still have hope.VikingsFan84 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:51 pmI am not talking about this year, I am talking about the future
