Interesting nuggets here from Josh Norris. I'm trying to locate the source story.

Scott Kuhn, who works on the Analytics side of the Vikings front office, mentioned a goal has been to create a QB- like number for every position in order to compare players more consistently.

Their (small) staff is still in the early stages of working with GPS tracking. First they have to determine if it is accurate and verifiable. One example mentioned was depth of tackle for linebackers.

Kuhn discussed third day/UDFA evaluations. Want to look for traits that hit a certain percentage and stay away from types that hit 5% of the time. (From the outside looking in, the Vikings are one of the teams that clearly factor in athletic testing most)

Kuhn gave us a surface level story of finding Adam Thielen. Said scouts from teams didn't go to the school because coaches didn't recommend him. Wouldn't have been identified without the Vikings local day. The rest is history. "He's an anomaly."
