Why not just shut Adrian down for the season too?!!

Post by majorm »

I mean if they're gonna start pathetic Ponder again, they're clearly TRYING to lose! If they're just playing for the best draft pick, why not come up with some phantom injury for Adrian and shut him down for the year? Sure wouldn't want him going off for 250, leading the Vikes to a win and jeopardizing draft position.

I mean the 2500 yard season is about as likely now as Ponder throwing for 400 yards and four TDs. Why risk getting him hurt in this throw-away of a season.

I've NEVER been more disgusted with this team and more embarrassed to be a Viking fan.

I actually agree... turf-toe... Injured Reserve. Give Gerhart and Asiata some reps.

Hold on. This season isn't over yet. Could get worse. 8)

Dumb post - dumb idea.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

Of course it is. But no dumber than starting Ponder again!

Man, it makes it even worse if they are trying to win. And people still don't think this is worse then anything Childress had here? :steamed:

They're already reducing his work load. So hey, why not! Well, besides having no real alternative. And AD would probably go apeshit on the team. But it'd be best for the team. Last time we had a throwaway season and tried to ride him, we sabotaged our draft position, and cost him a ligament or two.

I think he's somewhere in between suck and quite good. I have nothing against the guy. I just don't think we should have wasted a second round pick on a guy who rarely plays. Not his fault, though. But compared to AP? Yeah. He probably does suck. :D

Seems like a nice enough chap, but should not be starting for any NFL team ever again.
Exactly. He's a nice smart guy. But no amount of "do this that or the other" will make him any better of an NFL QB. Hopefully at this point that's clear...
