Mike Florio had an interesting comment about a week ago. The Vikings could package a deal with Justin Jefferson to get the 1st pick in the draft to take Caleb Williams, QB, USC. Arguably the best QB prospect next Draft.
His logic is a superstar QB is more valuable than a superstar WR toward a team’s winning chances.
Floria has to be a fan of whatever team might take Caleb Williams. Package a deal with Justin Jefferson? As if JJ in his prime isn't already enough? And to get what, someone who could just as easily turn out to be the next Andrew Luck as he could the next Tom Brady?
No thanks - I'll stick with the proven talent. There are many good QB prospects coming out in next year's draft. No need to make a move like shipping a generational talent at WR to merely take a big swing at one of them.

Andrew Luck was pretty damn good. I would trade JJ for a prospect at Andrew Luck's level, but Caleb Williams is not close to being that kind of prospect.
