I'm not real optimistic that those 4 seventh round picks will be players that help.

Re: Draft thread
Since we have such a great roster apparently, where are all of these picks turned players going? We now will be releasing a bunch of players also.

Lottery tickets. Will all four "hit"? No. Will 1/4? Maybe. Which would be a lot better than most teams who have only one 7th and miss on him.

And camp might be shortened leaving less time to evaluate.VikingPaul73 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2020 11:03 pm Its funny how many picks he collects, but 13 picks on Day 3???? Why? How many spots are available on this team?
I guess if they have a glut of equally ranked players it makes a certain amount of sense.....but there are a fixed amount of roster spots!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Draft thread
They'll probably trade some for 2021 picks. There's not much else to do. Still hoping at least one is on a QB but this story plays out the same every year.

Re: Draft thread
really hope people start seeing how silly we are in our drafting processes. Small things like not drafting 1 Alabama prospect during their decade of dominant play is telling to me. Possible the greatest dynasty in NCAA history with the most pro ready players, and Irv Smith was our first serious investment into that pipeline (Austin Shepard doesn't count).

Re: Draft thread
I'm over the Trent idea. Stack up this Oline now with some of those 13 picks and go full on depth. Let them compete and see what we have. I don't think they keep all 13, but the more prospects at this point, the better. Some will hit. That's not counting the picks these last 2 nights. 3 of 4, if not all 4 probably start more than a few times next season. Great draft thus far, in my opinion.Another pass rusher is lacking though. Robinson from Syracuse might be in consideration.
