Cordarrelle Patterson: NFC Special Teams Player Of The Month
He's only been in the National Football League for four games, but Minnesota Vikings' rookie Cordarrelle Patterson already has an award for his mantle http://www.dailynorseman.com/2013/10/3/ ... -the-month
Kudos to Patterson who has a huge upside and will soon play a much larger role in the offense

Yep, saw that earlier and was pretty happy about it! Congrats to him!

Congrats to Cordarrelle Patterson! He deserves the award! I love watching him return kicks. Now if the Vikings would only throw the freakin' ball to him more often.
And throw more to Jarius Wright as well.

Does he deserve it though? I don't know about all that. Good for him I suppose, but there must not have been too many great performances then.
Patterson has been great on KR, but I thought someone else would definitely take home this award.

Does he deserve it?? He leads the NFC in kick off return average ( 33.8 yds per return on 12 returns ) , is the only player to return a kick off for a td in the NFC (105 yds.) . Yeah I would say that he deserves it.PacificNorseWest wrote:Does he deserve it though? I don't know about all that. Pretty ridiculous, isn't it? For a reason unknown, other than idiocy, the coaching staff feels Patterson and Rhodes need to be slowly brought in.Purple Jesus wrote:He definitely needs more field time. Why he isn't playing more often is mind boggling.

What drives me nuts is the two TE alignment that we are so fond of--which means that Carlson sees the field instead of a 3 WR set in which CP84 is out there.yezzir wrote: Pretty ridiculous, isn't it? Midseason Report: Top 5 Rankings For Each Position
They didn't have a bottom five position ranking, so that's why you don't see more Vikings' names.

1. Cordarrelle Patterson, Minnesota Vikings
2. Devin Hester, Chicago Bears
3. Trindon Holliday, Denver Broncos
4. Dwayne Harris, Dallas Cowboys
5. Golden Tate, Seattle Seahawks

I think some people are misreading the title. ST player of the game. And he does deserve it. He is incredible. Not his fault they play Wright, Webb and Carlson instead of him.

No it's the fault of the beautiful minds of our coaching staff he isn't on the field more. Why don't we use 4 WR sets? That would pull 9-10 men out of the box and open up running lanes for ADPurpleKoolaid wrote:I think some people are misreading the title. ST player of the game. And he does deserve it.
