Tell me your first half award winners
If you had to name a player for the following awards who would you name?
-Vikings offense MVP
-Vikings defense MVP
-Biggest Vikings bust
-Most valuable Vikings rookie
Here are mine:
Vikings offense MVP: Kirk Cousins. It's a tossup here between Thielen and Cousins. Both needed each other to thrive. I'm choosing Cousins since it's been forever and a day that we've had a franchise QB on this team. Cousins came in to give the Vikings a huge boost on offense.
Vikings defense MVP: Danielle Hunter. Hard to argue with 8 sacks on the season already.
Biggest Vikings bust: Daniel Carlson. No comment.
Most valuable Vikings rookie: Not sure here, maybe Hughes?

Offense: Thielen no comment necessary.
Defense: Hunter, clearly our best pass rusher.
Bust: Offensive line without Sparano.
Rookie: Hughes

Re: Tell me your first half award winners
-Vikings offense MVP - Adam Thielen - of course
-Vikings defense MVP - Lindval Joseph - 4 sacks on top of his usual top run stuffing antics, as well as rumbling in for a return TD.
-Biggest Vikings bust - Remmers/Hill. These come as a pair, because they're both as terrible as each other.
-Most valuable Vikings rookie - Has to be O'Neill. Has come on so quickly, to pretty much contain Cameron Jordan last week, in Week 8 of his rookie season is impressive.

I was going with these names too. It's easier for me to quote than type it all on phone.PacificNorseWest wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 3:53 pm Offense MVP - Thielen

Re: Tell me your first half award winners
Offense: Thielen. I'm very surprised it's not unanimous.
Defense: Hunter. Not just the sacks but also great in run support.
Bust: Mike Prifer. A carousel of punters, headcase kickers, and overall poor kickoff coverage. I'm truly baffled how this guy has a job year in and year out.
Rookie: Since it's only a first half award, Hughes. But over the season it will probably be O'Neill.

Offense: Thielin. No question for me. Dude's got velcro hands.
Defense: Hunter. Super fast off the line and a sacking machine.
Bust: Treadwell drives me nuts. He needs to spend some time on the practice squad.
Rookie: Gotta say Hughes. We are gonna see some amazing things from that cat.

Re: Tell me your first half award winners
Offense: Thielen. So consistently good. That catch over the defender last week was incredible.
Defense: I gotta go with Linval. Makes everyone's job easier.
Bust: I like what Treadwell's doing except for the 1 or 2 drops. The ST's are coming around so I'll give them a pass. I'll go with Cook so far. He hasn't made the impact I was hoping for.
Rookie: Hughes. Having to play all those diff positions for a rookie? I hope he comes back stronger next year.
