The number 32

Post by purplehaze »

Yep we are ranked dead last in offense in the league folks. Highlights include:

O-line.....(yeah we all know)
Game changing penalties......(one thing we are consistent with)
Running game.....(there is none, oh wait.... yes up the middle for a yard)
Play Calling.....(Vikes Staple is passing short of 1st down, afraid to throw downfield. I know everyone will say Sam don't have time)
Receivers.....(there is talent but were still ranked 22nd in passing)
QB-......(Sam "Statue of Liberty in quicksand" Check down Charlie Bradford) That is all you need to know about this guy.

Chilly is laughing his a$$ off right now at this kick a$$ offense.

The ingratitude in regards to Bradford is crazy.

I'll say it again, let me take 5 linemen and Dez Bryant away from Dallas and I bet they're right next to us.

How in the hell did this team get to a 5-0 start is beyond me. Oh yeah it was special teams and defense. sigh

The interior of the OL was pass protecting better than they have in about 3-4 years during that span too. Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of that for certain reasons that would've helped protect our tackles. Now we've revamped the whole offense mid season. There was another option, which I suspect had its advocates on the coaching staff, but its water under the bridge now. All these pieces are related, and collectively they are a death sentence.

Well thats obvious. The line on Dallas is what runs that team.

Here I was being optimistic before coming into this thread thinking it's trivia of all former Vikings that wore #32. Sadly, I couldn't even think of any. :(

Edit:

I looked at the all-time numerical roster and I really recognize only two of the names and neither were a Viking for long.

Amp Lee and Onterrio Smith were the only names I knew...I didn't distinguish them from #32 alone though.

Looking at ESPN I see

Yards 29th
yards/game 32nd (thanks to...drumroll...)
rushing yards 31st (believe it or not?)
Rushing/game 32 (ta-daaa!)
passing yards 20th
pass/game 24th
points 21 (tie) (if not for Walsh we'd easily be as high as 19th
points/game 26th

We are fairly awful on offense, but we're only last in 2 important categories. We are worse than last year in many categories, and I didn't think that was possible. :puke:

I remembered Tony Galbreath and Chuck Muncie.
I think Galbreath had some good years with the Saints....Muncie was a stud for the Chargers.
I remember Amp was 32 but only after seeing the list.
Onterrio i did remember. Hard to forget that dude lol
I thought he was gonna be a good one too.
