AP getting bored?
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... early-exit
What football player doesn't feel this way? Basically practice sucks and I'd rather stay fresh than work drills.
Anyone concerned by this?

Not concerned at all......AP will be just fine. I think he knows the amount of talent this team has and knows we should make another post season push....and like the rest of us can't wait for game 1.
Re: AP getting bored?
He doesn't play a single down in preseason either. That's a long offseason.

Brett Favre never did much in the offseason, in fact he stopped training camp early in his career.
He was probably just answering a question. Nothing to see here.

He continues to train like an Olympian. He's fine. Just normal veteran moaning.

Who's not bored when there is not football?
Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

I saw the article on NFL.com as well. Click bait for the off season.
Older players often don't have the same kind of participation in the off season. Are individual drills actually important for this guy?
Now, one thing I will say about this that I don't like; it's not as if Peterson's game is perfect. As far as working out and such I know he'll be in great shape but considering the issues he's had blocking and working from shotgun it seems like working with the team might be a good idea.

Much ado about nothing. Sounds to me like a good veteran skill player talking and that's all.
OTOH, I do agree with Cliff regarding Peterson hopefully working on running out of the shotgun. The Vikings offense needs that from him.

He could work on fumbling and the passing game a lot more ...
Peterson needs to think before he speaks IMO.. last month he is saying I can play to 40
the next month .. gee the mental grind might make quit... huh??

Yea, I agree. I don't think this is something that you confess to the media. Although anyone who puts the pads on at any level from high school up feels that way.jackal wrote:He could work on fumbling and the passing game a lot more ...

Re: AP getting bored?
Brett Favre, Walter Jones, Michael Strahan...on and on...It's like a right of passage for All-Pro vets. The Vikings keep AP wrapped in bubble wrap until week 1 anyway...Everyone would be bored under those circumstances.
