Way too early pre-draft schedule release prediction thread

Post by akvikingsfan »

I love prediction threads. It's one of my favorite things. Right up there with coming up with scenarios for making the playoffs when the team is doing horrible, getting the top seed when they're barely going to get a wild card berth, etc. With that said, this is my way too early pre-draft schedule release prediction:

Week 1 - @ Tennessee Titans - win
Week 2 - Green Bay Packers (Sunday Night - First Game in New Stadium) - win
Week 3 - @ Carolina Panthers - loss
Week 4 - New York Giants (Monday Night) - win
Week 5 - Houston Texans - win
Week 6 - BYE WEEK (Record 4-1)
Week 7 - @ Philadelphia Eagles - win
Week 8 - @ Chicago Bears (Monday Night) - win
Week 9 - Detroit Lions - win
Week 10 - @ Washington Redskins - win
Week 11 - Arizona Cardinals - win
Week 12 - @ Detroit Lions (Thanksgiving Day) - win
Week 13 - Dallas Cowboys (Thursday Night) - win
Week 14 - @ Jacksonville Jaguars - win
Week 15 - Indianapolis Colts - win
Week 16 - @ Green Bay Packers - loss
Week 17 - Chicago Bears - win
Final Record 14-2

The Vikings have 5 Prime Time games this season, which in the past has been terrible for this team. I see that trend being broken this year. Which you can see in my predictions. I think playing the AFC South and the NFC East will be beneficial for the record. Top seed in the NFC here comes the Vikings :govikes:

I always wait until Week 6 to 8 before guessing at this stuff. No team is the same from week 17 to week 1.

It sucks that we have an early BYE again.

Wow man, 14-2?

I'll give this post serious props if that was to happen.

It's early. By the time the draft and pre-season are over it'll probably be amended to around 12-4 or 11-5, winning the North and getting the 2nd or 3rd seed. Just as of now I can't find the other 2-3 losses. So I'll have to watch how the rest of the off season plays out for other teams (don't follow them as close during the down time) and see where I can find a couple more losses.

I for one think Carolina is far from unbeatable. It won't be an easy win, but it isn't a case where you just can't see us winning.

Again, still way too early to tell.

Sucks to say but I think we lay an egg in the home opener vs the fudge and then beat the panthers in Carolina, call it a hunch.....
