I hesitate posting but I think we can all be civil. There's a good amount here I didn't know about Peterson.

Didn't finish the whole stupid piece. I guess he is supposed to have spent all his time moping and groveling and bashing his chest with a stone like an old fashioned penitent. He needs to hate himself for some people to ever forgive. Whatever.dead_poet wrote:I hesitate posting but I think we can all be civil. There's a good amount here I didn't know about Peterson.

You should finish it. It balances itself during the second half. I thought it was well-written and interesting.
It may have been funded by the Packers' management for all I know (can we PLEASE just focus on FB?), but I have to admit that it's an interesting glimpse into who AD is and what makes him tick.
Re: Adrian Peterson's suspended reality
I'm with Texas Vike on this. Great article and well written. It reveals a lot about AD without being exploitative.
The next phase of Peterson's life will be as a Viking on the field during the regular season. That's the part I think we should focus on now.

I found it revealing. I wouldn't call it a great article, but I certainly didn't think it was a stupid piece.

One thing, I surely hope that AP has great financial managers.
Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

Re: Adrian Peterson's suspended reality
at this point, the only thing I want out of AP is thousands of ground yards and some good pass blocking....I hope he never talks in front of cameras again because every time he opens his mouth, trouble or disappointment emerges. I think its probably a good thing that the media doesnt look the other way anymore, it keeps us from turning athletes into "heroes" lately.......Here in Chicago we now have the unpleasant realization that Patrick Kane is possibly a wanna-be rapist like Rothlesburger.....amazing how you can go from pride in your team to a bit of shame.....pretty sad.

Re: Adrian Peterson's suspended reality
I guess I don't see the issue. An extremely wealthy man threw himself a lavish party and asked people not to bring up a touchy subject while they all mooched off of his wealth. I was as hard on AP as anyone but seriously, its his life. If he made right by the kid and the mother and the law why not do his own thing and not talk about the issue that was now in the past?
