Dallas acquired Cassel and Buffalo's 2017 seventh-round draft pick for Dallas' fifth in 2017, sources said.

The Cowboys plan to start Brandon Weeden in Romo's absence with Cassel installed as a backup.

Against the visiting Atlanta Falcons in Week 3, Kellen Moore will be the No. 2 quarterback with Cassel No. 3, a source told ESPN.

But Cassel is expected to supplant Moore as the No. 2 once he has time to learn system and teammates, the source said.

Now Buffalo should sign Ponder.

Funny thing about this was at about 12:00 remaining in the 3rd Qtr, Stafford is running toward the sideline, Barr shoves him just before he steps out, and Stafford stays on his feet. No flag. I think Stafford's reaction drew the penalty when the same thing happened in the 4th Qtr, not the situation.

Can this offensive line just stay healthy for 2 seconds. If Fusco is out, that means our 3 best offensive lineman are out. Luckily, SD doesnt have much of a pass rush

To be fair, with the way Kalil has been playing, it's really hard to rank who our best linemen are.

For that matter, it's interesting to think how good this line could have been sans injuries this year.

I agree. The ones hurt are definitely are "better" lineman but yes Kalil could contend as well. This was our problem last year. I don't think our line is bad at all when we're healthy. They are actually pretty darn good. Everyone tags on Spielman because of our line issues but it's not his fault they are getting injured. It's just the nature of the beast
