Denzel Perryman!
The saddest thing in life is wasted talent and the choices you make will shape your life forever.

Denzel Perryman - Exellent round 2 LB that could step in and play from day 1. Plays north/south and is definately a Hardhitter.

Taylor Mays - Taylor Mays comes with a lot of intrigue. He never solidified where he will play in the NFL, could be a Safety or an Outside Linebacker. What's intriguing is his athleticism. Only 27 and still learning coverage he likely has his best years ahead of him.

Tevin Coleman - Coleman could provide some answers at Running back if we move Peterson. He knows how to read a defense well and hits the hole full speed which is half the battle for RBs. He packs a mean stiffarm and plenty of speed to break away. Round 2-3 option for the Vikings.

Casey Mathews - Also signed with us today although Less to be excited about here. He has starting experience in the NFL at MLB which is good. I'm guessing he ends up in a backup role or rotational guy to keep LBs fresh.

Terence Newman - newly signed at Cornerback. Likely takes Josh Robinson's left cornerback spot and moves Captain Munnerlyn to slot CB full time. Love the signing to fill a our hole at CB for a year while Newman and Zimmer coach up whatever CB we draft.

wow surprised by the Newman signing ...
I am guessing Zimmer, coached him in Dallas ?
The guy is very old and we have seemed to steer clear of older players ...

no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Re: Vikings Jersey Swaps NFL draft/Free Agency
I think Zimmer coached him in Dallas and Cincinnati. He'll likely play for one year starting across from Xavier while we bring up a young guy.

PJ Williams - Round 2-3 option at CB that could sit under Newman and shore up his technique for a year before stepping in full time. Played with Xavier Rhodes at FSU. Hard hitter for
a cornerback and has the size to mach up well against most recievers.

Jay Ajayi - Round 3-4 RB that could instantly make a deadly combo with McKinnon if we move on from Peterson. He weighs 230 and has quick feet for that big of a guy. Not quite as tough of a runner as Marshawn Lynch but there is a slight resemblance of the aggressiveness that Lynch has. Can do what Asiata does on the goal line but is quicker, faster, and has the finesse moves to get around people.

Re: Vikings Jersey Swaps NFL draft/Free Agency
Todd Gurley - Would make for one of the best duo's in the league with McKinnon if Peterson is traded. Has all the Power to take over the goal line role from Asiata. The difference between Asiata and Gurley though is the speed, Gurley has taken kick returns to the house before (can't imagine Asiata doing that in a Million years). Gurley could slip out of the first round because of his injury history and would be an incredible steal if we could grab him in the 2nd.
