It helps when you have your Pro Bowl running back and a top-10 defense allowing the second-fewest points per game. Andy Reid and that coaching staff should get a lot of credit with what they're doing with that team with a mediocre QB and subpar receivers. Charles/Davis are studs and that coaching staff knows that in order to win they need to build the offense around them. Sounds relatively familiar (though some would argue you can't win like that in today's NFL).PacificNorseWest wrote:The Chiefs are a winning football team though.

I hope somewhere out there on Sunday, their is one very confused cheesehead standing at the former site of the Metrodome wondering where he took a wrong turn.

Yes. All contributing factors. Also, something often overlooked is the fact that Alex Smith just does not turn the ball over (except for week 1). It's extremely rare. When you're not giving oppponents a short field, momentum and more opportunities...You're chances of winning go up dramatically.dead_poet wrote: It helps when you have your Pro Bowl running back and a top-10 defense allowing the second-fewest points per game. Well, The talking heads give the Vikings zero chance to win. Well not really zero. 1 person picked the Vikings to win. 1 out of 114 that have made a pick so far.
Feeling good about this game!

I suppose this game for the Vikings is what you would describe as 'running into a buzzsaw.'

I don't think so, I think we will get sauced because they are a better team but playing in Mimny gives us at least a chance in hell, unlike when we went to Lambeau.PacificNorseWest wrote:I suppose this game for the Vikings is what you would describe as 'running into a buzzsaw.'

Hey, the Raiders finally won so anything's possible. Wouldn't it be refreshing to see the Vikes pull off an unlikely upset?

As they say 'any given Sunday', but I don't think this Sunday will be one of those days for the Vikings.Raptorman wrote:Well, The talking heads give the Vikings zero chance to win. Well not really zero. 1 person picked the Vikings to win. 1 out of 114 that have made a pick so far.

I smell a TRAP GAME. Do-gooders do good and beat the crap out of the Pack. Whoop Whoop. Optimistic today, won 10 dollars on a scratch ticket.
Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

Re: This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Green Bay Packers
Just don't see how we win this one, our defense playing at their best probably limits their offense to the 20-30 point range. Our offense has been putting up like 13 points. Any nasty things packer fans are saying about us, is probably warranted. it's not like when redskins fans thought they should steamroll us, or when bills fans acted like we were the raiders.
Ill be happy if this game is competitive, winning seems like a long shot.

Re: This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Green Bay Packers
How about the Vikings spike the field to make standard cleats ineffective and start messing with the game clocks to make it harder for the opposing offense to run plays? That might even things up a bit...
