Nine different defenders contribute to the Vikings' NFL-leading 30 sacks after posting five for the third straight game. Sharrif Floyd had his first sack waived off by an illegal contact call on cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, one of six penalties on the defense. Floyd continued his strong play, being by far the quickest off the ball for both lines and disrupting the backfield with defensive end Everson Griffen, who hit Robert Griffin III three times.
Because of the pressure, Griffin attempted just eight passes farther than 10 yards downfield -- relying on receivers to do the work after the catch for 57 percent of their 251 passing yards. Outside of the two deep balls to receiver Desean Jackson, the Vikings held Griffin to 16-of-26 for 150 yards -- a 5.7 yard average. The front four's havoc has created opportunities for the secondary while limiting opponents' play calling. But this secondary can still be suspect when QBs have time.
After allowing 347 yards and 26 points, the Vikings rank ninth in yards allowed (326) and 13th in points allowed (22.1)

Indeed. He's becoming quite disruptive. Having Joseph next to him certainly helps but this is the first-rounder we wanted to see. Hopefully he stays healthy and only continues to improve.

3. Nearly half of Bridgewater's 46 dropbacks featured an extra blocker as the Vikings are doing anything possible to give the rookie a clean pocket. Ellison has become Bridgewater's personal guard, sitting in the pocket a season-high 13 times after setting his season mark with nine protection snaps two weeks ago in Buffalo.

Nice play picking up the blitz by Mckinnon on the first breakdown.
Redskins blitzed 15 times on passing plays. Vikings did not allow a sack against a rush of 5 or more.
That's great stuff. Although Teddy missed that deep pass to Jennings, he was still able to make the right read and find the mismatch (a LB on Jennings) during a cornerback blitz. Seems like a veteran read there.
