"I can handle getting beat, but I can't handle getting our butts whipped like that."

Sorry but I see nothing wrong with the quote.
Why can people like Muhammad Ali and Walter Peyton say that one has to learn to handle defeat before being a winner, but Zimmer can't say he can handle defeat?
As for not handling the butt whipping yesterday, I think he's talking about the Vikings playing poorly. And they did, especially the pathetic OL.

I was directing my response to Indiannation 65, who talked about Zimmer's choice of words in another thread. It had nothing to do with AD.Dirtyswabby wrote:

Some will think there is nothing wrong with the response, or maybe many. I will just say that winning, and winning BIG, does not lend itself to accepting, or being okay with any loss. We all want the same thing, and that's a Super Bowl for the Vikes. Disagreeing on minute issues weighs little on the big scale. Come on Zimmer, a chin high in the air is what we want. Taking the punch and not grimacing is the goal.

i just found his choice of words amusing...I actually like that he is publicly calling out the majority of the team for NOT acting like pro's, not showing up on time for meetings, NOT giving their all.....BUT..ownership may not like it and may use his honesty as a way of saying he cant control the team and CAN him for it...I hope not.
