How many Vikings wins this year.
I know it's early. But you can change your vote up until the 6th of September. Let's see how good we are at predicting our team.

Re: How many Vikings wins this year.
I went with 8-8. I feel like thats how many games we should of won last year with horrible coaching and a somewhat easy schedule. This year we have better coaching but a much tougher schedule so right now i have us winning 8 games.
Re: How many Vikings wins this year.
I said 10-6. That's only if the defense is improved a fair bit. If it improves a lot, I'd say 11 wins. But I won't be disappointed in anything from 8 wins up. I don't see us winning less than 8. We were only a few fups away from 8 last year.
Re: How many Vikings wins this year.
I don't think the Vikings will be terrible this year and I don't think they'll be good either.
So I went with 8-8.

Have we been given much of a reason to do otherwise?GBFavreFan wrote:Why do I have this feeling most of you picked 8-8 for pretty much every season of the past 20 years. That is very "Vikings fan" of you to do that ...

At the time that I'm posting this, there are just as many predictions for 6 wins as there are for 8 wins.GBFavreFan wrote:Why do I have this feeling most of you picked 8-8 for pretty much every season of the past 20 years. That is very "Vikings fan" of you to do that ...
Also interesting to note that even with so many predictions of 6 wins, there is an almost even split between people who think we will surpass 8 wins and people who think we will win less than 8 games. Only one vote separates the two categories, with the sub 8-8 group ahead right now.
I personally think we will start slow and then go on a tear late in the season, similar to the Arizona Cardinals last season. Unfortunately, just like the Cardinals, I think we will barely miss the playoffs.

I had to vote 10-6. They will probably snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in a couple of games and vice versa. lol
Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

I went 6-10. Offense is getting there and in two years we should be REALLY good but I think the Defense isn't there yet and we have a real tough schedule ahead of us, We need better Dline, another good safety, better corners and our linebacking group kinda stinks. I think the Def will improve from last year somewhat but we need TALENT not OK players if we want to contend for a title

I think we'll surprise the NFL with how competitive we'll be.
But our schedule is just too tough to do better than 8-8. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but even if I'm not, I believe we'll be ready to start seriously challenging for the division in 2015.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.

7-9, for all the same reasons expressed before.
I think they'll compete hard and be close in a lot of games so they could do better but there are just too many question marks surrounding the team, and the schedule looks too tough, for me to predict a higher win total.

Re: How many Vikings wins this year.
Why I picked 10-6. First the Offense. It will not be worse than last year. So I figure at least 24 points per game. This should be enough to be at least 8-8. Second, the Defense. I think the defense will be much better this year than last year at keeping teams from scoring. I am looking at the NFL average of 21 points per game. With that, it should give them enough to go 10-6. I just don't picture the defense giving up points like last year.

9-7 with most of the losses in the early to middle part of the season. The latter games will see things begin to really click and leaving us all with a woody for the future.
It's OK that I said woody, right?

As long as "Favre" is not used in the same sentence I think it's OK.PsyDanny wrote: It's OK that I said woody, right?
