Yeah, you're right about that. I remember one game in particular in 2004. Monday nighter against the Colts. He was amazing; matching Manning throw for throw, but the defense couldn't hold on. I think Indy won it on a late FG or something like that.Mothman wrote: He led them to a few. I remember that one too and if I recall correctly, Moss didn't even play in that game.majorm wrote:Yeah, you're right about that. I remember one game in particular in 2004. Also, you forgot Webb in your top 5.
Re: Your top 5 favorite and least favorite Vikings
Webb was the Viking who never had a chance to make the Top 5. But I'll give him an honorary mention because he was one of my favorite Vikings.Funkytown wrote:

Re: Your top 5 favorite and least favorite Vikings
I remember Daute either fumbling(mostly) or throwing a pick if the game was ever on the line. I only remember him winning a tight one twice in his time with us. That was my major beef with him. Our defense wasn't great then, but it was no where near last year's defenseMothman wrote: He led them to a few. If I remember correctly, their defense was ranked in the bottom third of the league every year Daunte started. They were particularly bad in 2002. They weren't quite as bad statistically as last year's defense but they weren't that far away from such depths either.

We should make a "lunch-pail" favorites list (i.e. non-superstars, gritty guys that got it done):
1. Moe Williams
2. Jermaine Wiggins (I'll never forget when he hurdled a would-be tackler! He looked chubby and out of shape, but was deceivingly athletic)
Any others?

Somebody with time to spare should calculate the results and see who the most and least popular Vikings are

Re: Your top 5 favorite and least favorite Vikings
The funny thing was I almost listed Jermaine in my top five. I loved Jermaine Wiggins. It is too bad that he could never build off his great 2004 season.Texas Vike wrote:

A Randy Moss fan for life. A Kevin Williams fan for life.

I like yours. Seems like tight ends and linebackers are a natural for that designation.Texas Vike wrote:We should make a "lunch-pail" favorites list (i.e. non-superstars, gritty guys that got it done):

And, of course:
- Joe Kapp
